I've dug out the email for the new lingerie store - my friend who send me the info knows the owner and apparently they're opening early next year. "Hello from all of us at The Knicker Drawers - the lingerie and swimwear store coming soon to Dubai! Having found shopping for underwear and swimwear in Dubai a difficult task, we've decided to do something about it. Being big boobed ourselves we are intending to focus on D cup and above, HOWEVER, for all of you smaller cup sizes we would still love to hear about your experiences and would consider extending our size range if there is a demand. Our dream is to create a store - staffed with professional fitters - where the women of the UAE can find a choice of beautiful, perfectly fitting underwear, swimwear and nightwear. To do this we need to know a little bit about you, your shape and size, and what your ideal store would provide. We would be eternally grateful if you would take a couple of minutes to click on the link below and take our short survey - please feel free to also forward this message to your female friends in the Emirates. THANK YOU! https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/QJK77F8 We look forward to launching our website and announcing our first store opening soon. All the best from the K-D team xxx"

I'm a 32G and I do quite a lot of running and have tried loads of bras that promised everything and anything and I have to say the best best sports bra I have ever used is the Shockabsorber Run Bra. I find it better than the Level 4 one. It has a clasp between the shoulderblades that seems to keep everything locked down. It's really lightweight, so you worry it won't be up for the job but it is. It just goes up to a F, so I buy 34F and it's fine. The only other bra that works (IMO) is the Enell bra, much promoted by Oprah, which also keeps everything in place, but it's like body armour. I find it a bit too restrictive. I buy from Figleaves and have them shipped directly, or via BoobyDoo or LessBounce websites in the UK and have them sent shop and ship, depending on who has the best deal. FFx

Me too, my sis is a sports physiotherapist and always recommends shockabsorbers to her clients. Wearing an underwire bra, let alone two is really bad for you, esp. after the age of 35 and/or children. Do you know why this is? I've always worn Berlei ones with underwires and now I'm worried! I've always been a C or D depending on feeding or weight gain :( And I'm 38 with 2 kids, you've got me worried!! edited by Dan Lou on 28/09/2011

I received an email the other day about a new lingerie store opening in Dubai for us D+ girls - which would be great, as I am fed up of not being able walk into a store and have a choice of nice undies - will see if I can dig this email out. I've got a Freya underwired sports bra which I'm really happy with (ordered from Bravissimo) REALLY??? Too exciting!! I hope they go down to little backs! Please post the email here if you find it!!!

Best sports bra I have is by sportsjock. http://www.sportsbra.co.uk/acatalog/D3_Bra.html In my opinion better than shock absorber for me - 36FF/G Plus easy to put on as they zip up at the front. I think they will deliver internationaly.

I have worn M and S sports bras for years but they don't compare to the shockabsorbers ones, especially for running. Well worth the money.

I'm another shock absorber fan! My DD's do not move even when i'm running. As somebody said already, make sure it's snug. :)

Princess_I Where do I get Shock Absorbers from? Is it an actual bra or something to put into a Sports bra? I am currently wearing a Reebok croptop type thing but the band that is meant to sit on your ribs is about an inch away from my body as my boobs are pushing it out so much. Pointless bit of kit! Debenhams stock them - they have a website aswell. bravissimo also stock them Great I'll look in Debenhams, Thanks google shockabsorbers and check out their website will give you lots of info.

I got mine from M&S and i am a DD/E they tend to keep them still on the treadmill haha I am struggling with strapless bras to go under vest tops. I buy the flesh coloured ones as they dont show through white vests but the top of the bra sticks out and doesnt lie flat. If anyone has any advice on the best place to buy them from i will be grateful ( have been to M&S and Debenhams)

also when you try it on; it should feel very very snug so everything is held very very firm against you.

I am going to Zumba and attempting to trot on the treadmill but my boobs are just everywhere, they've gone up a size since I had my Daughter and I cant for the life of me find a sports Bra in my size, any suggestions? Double bra? A good underwire bra first and then if you can get a crop top type one to wear over the top could help. I haven't seen any decent sports bras over here to be honest. The ones that they sell in Go Sports etc look good but I can't imagine that they are as supportive for large hooters as they claim. NOOOOOOO Never ever ever wear an underwired bra for exercise will seriously damage your boobs...... You don't recommend a proper underwire sports bra? Whenever I have been fitted, that is what I have got - anything else and they just swing around too much! Nope - the wire will damage your boobs - a proper non underwired bra is the best; something like shockabsorbers.

Edited to say : Underwire Sports Bra - all the top bra manufacturers still make them with underwire - especially for the high impact sports - the wire seems to be encased in fabric padding, as opposed to a normal everyday underwire bra. edited by Kakariki on 21/09/2011
