Dumb question and not helpful but have you changed the battery recently? This happened to us over the summer, when we were away and I had emptied the safe before we left.... Took me weeks to find the key and we are still arguing over whose responsibility is is to change the safe battery... no - never changed the battery - but apparently the battery is inside Princess I its a safewell brand.

Why am I not surprised that PI - in addition to the other useful knowledge she always has - also knows how to blow up a safe??? Because i had to get this done at work - and guess what, when we opened them they were empty!!!!

I once lost the key of my safe. I took it to Minutes, they took it to the back for a second and returned it to me, open. No questions were asked :). Sometimes you must love this country... :).

Ok, well not quite blow it up but get access to it. Our safe which we have used for the past 4 years with an electronic pin has now decided not to open - complete with passports in it. There was a key, which we can't find AAAAAAAAAGH!! Any ideas anyone, can't even find the paperwork for it!!1
