Haha thats a good idea too, I was contemplating putting all the clothes ie shirts ect in order of colour in the cupboard.... I like the books ideas too, he does lack any idea about these things to be honest! I kind of dread asking him to do the cupboards as he just seems to throw it all in afterwards!!! But that's just a man thing I think :)
Luckily my 3 hounds will still be there to make plently of cleaning up! What with dog hair and slobber, so I'm sure he won't be too bored!
I asked mine to put all my cds and books as well as DVDs in alphabetical order !!!!!!
the cleaning only took her 1 day and we were away for a week !
I asked her to rearrange the closet and the toy cupboard, get the rugs dry cleaned
I suggest him to wash the walls and all in between the floor tiles with a toothbrush and Dettol (tell him it is yearly mission :)) But the main task will be achieved- he will be FOR SURE busy!
Yes that certainly would! I might well use this as something to do! I have general everyday things to keep him busy until around 12.30/1pm so just the afternoons really :)

Just tell him you will be calling and need to find him home.
Let him take down all the curtains and get them laundered for you (if he can, mine always does it).
Ask him to empty every cupboard and lay new papers in them.
Ha, and I bet he thought he was going to have an easy time :)
I guess it depends on what he does on a daily basis, but the only thing I can think of is window cleaning, inside and out, maybe wash al the curtains, bedding, sofa cushions and covers.
We are going away over Xmas and my new HB needs to be in my house everyday to care for my pets (He lives out). Obviously there will be less to do as we will not be to make the usual mess ;) so other than cleaning out kitchen cupboards any other ideas to keep him busy? I don't want him skiving off early as he needs to feed and let out my hounds before he leaves...
