Just checked my Kallo French Onion Stock cubes... no MSG unless it's hiding in the "yeast extract". Oh gosh no I hope not, but as far as I know it's MSG free :(

The problem with most packets soups here is the MSG :\: it's hard to find an MSG free alternative.

Thanks,my DH managed to find the french onion soup packets. Guess that is close enough. I use it to make onion bread.

I feel your pain appletiser, I never manage to find it in Dubai, have you ever found it before? I have a favourite chicken recipe (with Mrs Balls chutney which thankfully I can get here) and it's not the same without brown onion soup. I have substituted French onion soup powder in a packet which isn't too bad.
