I am not normally one to complain, but I am so upset from my experience at the "Murjun Signature" Spa this morning I wanted to share with someone! My husband is away loads & my children had the chance to go for an activity at school for a few hours today, so I thought I'd take a one off opportunity to treat myself. A friend lent me her body entretainer book & flciking through I booked myself into the the Murjan spa as nr the emirates mall & needed to go there too! I booked well in advance for a facial & a massage. On turning up this morning - the receptionist looked puzzled & alarmed at my arrival - I told her I had an appointment & she checked the books - yes there it was in writing. I questioned her puzzled look to be be told the lady doing the treatment had not arrived yet - she then went to ring her & I overheard her saying she's be 15mins. It was now 15 mins after my treatment should have started & was on a time limit anyway - so would be over 30min later!. There was no one else there to do it instead. The reception didn't seem bothered at all. I said I would have to drop one of the treatments as I would now not have time - when the lady finally arrived. 10 mins later - no sign at all - I asked her to call her again, she told be she was still a good 10 mins away! What got me was the fact they where not bothered. My voucher was for a buy one get one free & I just though I don't want to come here again - so I said I was going to cancel - again not bothered, no apology just a pathetic smile - I am so annoyed as being saturday - there was no chance I could get in quickly anywhere else. They have my mobile & they have not rang to apologise or anythigng - to say its in the "gold" section of the entertainer is a joke - the service was truly appauling. I had just a couple of hours for a treat & feel angry I have wasted my time in actually going there! Sorry for the rant but sat on my own & could have really done with a bit of tlc today....

It seems like it.. Guess companies who offer good service don't have to offer discount OR staff who know someone s coming in with a voucher they don't think they need to give them proper service. I think whoever has a bad experience with Entertainer vouchers should tell Entertainer. Perhaps they can take some action.

Sorry to hear about this! I would be so disgusted! It seems like I read a ton of reviews about spa packages/discounts/groupon--if there is any discount, is it basically a bad idea??

We went to this spa maybe 2 years ago ( also Entertainer) and it was a disaster - grubby, sub standard therapists, piles of towels lying all over the bathroom area, men in the reception area of the ladies spa - was just horrible and have never been back there.[/quot Is it part of Rotana hotels? Then someone needs to tell these people! Unless they don't care ofcourse..

Sorry to read your chance of some pampering got ruined! Just wondering, was there anyone in charge you were able to speak to, or did you ask for a manager? First because as a consumer you have rights, amd since this was not your fault and you had booked, the Spa should accomodate you one way or the other. Think you left it too easily, the receptionists dealing with it was totally wrong, but I am sure there is someone around who is more senior, can take decisions, and would want to know whe things like this occur in their business. having worked in the service industry I know most companies do. Now all you did was accepting the disappointment without getting what you are entitled to: The treatment you booked for! I would definately contact them and explain what happened. Good luck!
