Im also looking Dr who can check my mole and remove it I visited one Dr today . She check it and said I have abscess under mole and better to keep it if it doesnt disturb me Im not happy with result of visiting doctor honestly It doesnt disturb me but it looks not nice for me and I would like to remove it . But I want to be sure I will not do worse for myself. I need to check what is under my mole and I dont want to wait year like said my Dr today to see if its changing or not If someone can suggest me some doctor it would be great . Thank you wow I wouldn't be happy either. I highly recommend Dr. Murtuza Bandukwala, at the GMC clinic on Beach rd. He's an excellent dermatologist.

Hi, I went to a GP first and was referred, went to MedCare clinic in Mirdiff had 4 removed. No scars at all, and only minor discomfort during the procedure. One was sent for histology and proved to be nothing sinister. They err on the side of caution here which is much better than my UK GP! Good luck. Hi. I have a mole that needs to be checked and perhaps removed. Can you give me Medcare's contact number please? Thanks;) Google Medcare Mirdif the phone number is on their website

I come over from Doha to Dubai to see Jaffer Khan. He's removed many for me using excision. One was very close to an eye and he did a great job.

FYI mole removal is usually done with local anesthetic.

We went to Jaffer Khan without a referral and still claimed on insurance, may depend on who your insurance is with. He did an excellent job on my son's face, you wouldn't even know he had it removed, not a scar at all. edited by TimTam on 16/06/2012

It depends why you're having it done. If it's for medical reasons - such as skin cancer worry - then go through your doctor (who will refer you). Then you can claim on your insurance. I think if you have to pay for it doing yourself it would be about 2000 dirhams. He is good though.

Do you have any idea of how much it costs. Is it per mole or per proceedure? Is it a general anaesthetic ?thanks

Jaffer Khan has done all of mine. Plastic surgeon so always looks ok afterwards, even the basal cell scar (about 2 inches) Ditto and one removed right next to my eye, did a really good job.

I recently saw Dr Roula Amer in the American Hospital and found her to be lovely. Am coming to the end of my pregnancy at the moment so she's going to do mole mapping & remove at least one of my moles after the baby is born. I therefore can't recommend what she's like for removal etc just yet but she was lovely & professional when I met her & very easy to get appointment
