Maybe they were just three humble guys who are going to be looking at themselves differently from now on. Looks like more damage was caused.

They need to let us EW posters judge with our handsomeness gauges. hee hee, shame there was no photos, but they did it to protect us,by the sounds of their extreme handsomeness all the EW ladies would be collapsing and fainting in front of our computers, then how would the world ever turn?? ;) edited by suzieirl on 18/04/2013

I think this shows that there is a case for men covering up too; protecting us women from our baser instincts.

I wonder what "issues" they feared would result from the women? The mind boggles. I think they might have been more worried about the men :D

The authorities in SA must have 'handsome' clearly defined and described! Silly me, I thought it was down to personal opinion. Yes Elabella they do , they have a handsomeness gauge :) :) But how can men judge the "handsomeness" of other men?

Here's a link to the original story published in yesterday's Gulf News in case you missed it, and of course to help those doubting the origins of the story on MSN. http://gulfnews.com/news/gulf/saudi-arabia/religious-police-incident-to-be-investigated-1.1170328

I recall reading some time ago that in Italy a certain seaside resot banned "ugly" women from the beach. So I guess this is an example the other end of the spectrum of discrimination.

Am I missing something here?? It says a [b'>prerequisite for employment on our site is at least one arrest for extreme handsomeness! [/b'>So what exactly was the problem??? ;) Where they just overwhelmingly handsome & had all the females fainting at their feet ????? That's the comment MSN have made in response to their report of the story...

yes, but would being "overdressed" for example cause the problem of women swooning ?? I agree it definitely doesn't add up but not sure how... Fair point, but maybe I'm using the wrong word? Maybe these UAE chaps weren't wearing traditional dress but were blinged-up in Western gear. That might be viewed as 'overdressed' in this instance. Again, I don't know as much about it as I would like to; I think more research is required. ;) yes, I think they should all come to my villa later and allow me to assess whether or not they are too handsome.... Hee hee, If you can't make a decision and need a second opinion, i'm around all day, would be more than happy to help you out.

I don't trust this story. Yet. I'd like someone who can read, understand and translate properly the original Arabic news story on this before I make a judgment call simply because I suspect there may have been some comprehension issues with the word 'handsome'. After all, 'handsome' could in fact have been a similar yet completely different word entirely. What if someone has read 'handsome' for a word that instead means 'flashy' or 'overdressed' or something like that? I don't have much Arabic myself but it strikes me as a possibility.

I read the comments, what a riot....first no bikes for the woman and now you can only be so handsome or the poor woman will swoon so you must be deported??? honestly, I want to see pictures of these Emirati men that were deported lol.....poor guys, how embarrassing lol.....but, I wonder what happened to the wiring in the brains over there, that is just not normal.
