I am cosidering these two prams for my newborn and 2 years old.
Anybody has any experience what would be advantages/disadvantages between the two?
I know you can buy P&T locally but would have to ship City Select right?
anybody can suggest website to have a look at for shipping City Select?
Any other things I should consider while deciding?

thanks a lot

I have a City Stroller Single for sale if anyone is interested. Only selling it as we are moving back to the UK and don't feel the need to have a stroller anymore. It is by far the best one we have used and hold's a very good weight unlike most that stop at 15 KG.

... My dilemma is whether I need to buy second seat kit at the same time as pram? I understand second seat is suitable form 6 months plus so first 6 months we would use only Maxi cosi car seat as a second seat anyway. Also this might be cheeky to ask but could possibly someone who owns City select already let me 'test drive' it for a few minutes and more importantly I need to check if it fits into my car boot! I would much appreciate it. CS cost 425 pounds on John Lewis website plus 150 pounds for second seat kit, I cant seem to find info on Maxi Cosi adapters? edited by CitronKB on 03/10/2013 You are welcome to have a look at and test drive my City Select but I am only really available next week during the week or at weekends. I live in Tecom if that's any closer to you. As for the adapters, they're definitely on the John Lewis site - http://www.johnlewis.com/baby-jogger-city-select-car-seat-adaptors/p230928690 I would also buy the second seat kit at the same time as even though the baby will be in the car seat with adapters for the first 6 months you will need the second seat kit adapters for the seat that comes with the pram to fit the second seat at the further end - does this make sense? i.e. if you have the baby closest to you then you will need the adapters that come with the second seat to sit the first child in the seat furthest away from you. Plus, as someone else previously said, 6 months comes along before you know it, especially with two running you ragged! :) HTH!

I was leaning towards City Select so thank you so much for responses, I also feel P&T second seat is very low and I prefer CS. My dilemma is whether I need to buy second seat kit at the same time as pram? I think basinet is not so necessary, specially here in Dubai it's not that cold so I think newborn will be fine without it. TBD- ,Word on the street is that Baby Jogger will be stocked here soon' what did you hear, which shop Just Kidding? Also this might be cheeky to ask but could possibly someone who owns City select already let me 'test drive' it for a few minutes and more importantly I need to check if it fits into my car boot! I recommend buying all the parts at once because 6 months comes very quickly.

I test drove both the BJCS and P&T Promenade over the summer. We've just ordered the BJCS from John Lewis and will pick it up back home next week. We decided to get the bassinette, despite rarely using it with my first, as it might be better for resale down the track and we would kick ourselves if we actually wanted to use it and couldn't get it here in Qatar. We've also ordered the 2nd seat as there will only be 18 months between them, so even once baby is 6 months old I foresee using both for quite a while...

The Baby Jogger City Select is amazing. l have had our for two years now and I still love it - definitely the best thing we bought. My DH didn't believe in pram envy until he started to get stopped in malls asking where we purchased it from!! :-) All my family thought we were mad for spending so much on a pram but as it turns out everyone thinks it's great and whenever I am with anyone else I don't get a look in as everyone else wants to push it. TDB - The bassinet isn't a must, you can get the adapters for whatever car seat you have and use it that way instead. The main seats state they should only be used from 6 months upwards due to the way they make the baby sit, so up to this point I used adapters and a maxi cosi car seat. Now that DS3 is 6 months we have put away the adapters and he can sit pram being entertained by one of his elder brothers. I think the maxi cosi adapters were around £30 from John Lewis - so a lot cheaper than the bassinet. I cannot sing the prams praises enough. I love how you can have just one seat on there and it doesn't look odd. You can face both seats towards you or away from you or they can both face each other - the latter configuration is great as the kids can talk to and play with one another. It is a little on the heavy side and you do have to take both seats off to collapse it and put it away but once you get the hang of it it takes no time at all! You also cannot hang bags off the pram so need to invest in some pram hooks. Again, not that expensive but worth it to carry a couple of bags. Now all my DH wants is a cup holder and all is complete! :-)

I really like the look of the City Select as well. Phil & Ted's double is aesthetically more pleasing but after seeing it being in use I realised I didn't want to get that one. I felt the bottom seat is too low to the ground, I saw a little todd sitting in it in London and she was almost dragging her hand on the floor. On top of that she had the view of the back of the front seat, bags and not much else all about 5 inches in front of her. I know you aren't meant to use the stroller for bags but at the end of the day we all do when we have a bit of shopping. My DD would go insane if she had to sit in it. City Select looks promising and after reading all the reviews it seems to be the best bet!

I have the city mini double stroller for my twins who are nearly a year, I had it from their birth and it has been amazing! It's very light and you can just pull it up into your car boot by pulling two straps, a very sturdy piece of kit! Plus it will last for years...Highly recommend! I have seen a lot of them around recently, so maybe they might be available here? If not is anyone coming out from UK that could bring for you? Hands down the best buy we made :) Mb
