The real question is why are all the American curriculum schools so much more expensive than the British curriculum? The lowest American curriculum for grade 1 is 60k dh whereas the British curriculum are about 30-40k.Because the staff are paid more and get a better package. And they don't skimp on resources?

GEMS have tiers within their organization, so they have the "Premier" schools like GEMS world academy, Wellington International School, and then they have the budget schools like Winchester.... the budget schools are definitely budget in terms of quality and the premier schools are generally that, premier... Gems World Academy is in a league of its own - and they have the schools fees to go with it as well. Believe it or not they are full for Pre KG!

CAn they differ that much? Its well known that GEMS have different pricing tiers. They take into account location of school and target audience ( e.g nationality, salary etc) and then create a school which will tick all the boxes. Yes, they do differ that much!

They differ quite a bit. No two Gems schools hold the same pricing.

I think it is all about nationality.

It depends on the facilities and other 'extras' like learning support, sport, etc. I've seen the GEMS's 'budget school' - and really, you (don't) pay for what you (don't) get. Most of the popular (British curriculum) schools charge more or less the same. For some reason the American schools are way more expensive than the British Schools - don't know why.
