Mine just spits out the calpol every single time. And i don't know how much has gone in, so can't give it to her again. She has a sore throat so she's not even eating her fav foods so can't camouflage in food.

TIA

Ashc - sorry your LO is not well. Calpol is paracetamol if I'm not mistaken as are Tylenol suppositories. We keep the supps for when we need a quick response or during the night when we can't get meds in. We used to use a syringe for liquids but she's "on to us" now! So now we treat her like a big girl and use a normal teaspoon and do a little frozen yoghurt on the spoon and then a little medicine on another spoon and keep alternating until the meds are finished. Messy as we let her have her own spoon for the frozen yoghurt but that keeps her distracted. Maybe the frozen yoghurt will soothe her sore throat? Good luck.

MB, I was thinking about it but don't know the dosage. The doc has recommended 6 ml calpol every 3-4 hours. How does that translate into a supp? Poor baby! Her fever is climbing and she's miserable! :(

Thanks HAK. Problem is she is not eating or drinking much and she can pick the medicine taste in the yogurt and promptly spits it out...lil monkey! :)

how about in similar-flavoured juice or the flavoured milk or actimel type yoghurt drinks? Sneaky, I know, but whatever works!
