I just bought my voucher for 500aed!!! I had the same treatment last August( in the UK) and looking after the hair well it lasted me ages. But I really need it done again, hopefully this salon will do a good job. I'll let you girls know the results!

Does it make your hair poker straight or can you still blow dry it into a wavy style? Hmmm, I would say mine is more straight than wavy now. Even if I leave to dry on it's own, it wouldn't go into a wavy style. You'd have to curl with tongs or straighteners for this.

Is on Gonabit today - and wanted to know if this is worth it? Any disadvantages of doing a keratin treatment? I've had QOD done and love it. What a massive difference to my hair - my hair type is incredibly wavy, frizzy and tends to grow massively in size with the humidity. Instead of taking approx 30 mins to blow dry, it now only takes 5 minutes and it is practically straight. I generally just leave it, but if I am going out, I will take the straighteners through it. Just make sure you persevere and do leave your hair (no washing, getting it wet at all) for the 3 days necessary! You also need to invest in sodium/sulphur free shampoo/conditioner as normal products will strip the keratin treatment out of your hair. The salon will have these I imagine. HTH :)

I've done it in the same salon. I think it's best for people who need to straighten their hairs (more trick and curly hairs), also I like it as they are not as dry as before. After the shower, I just need to brush them and they look almost like if I had a brushing I assume it has to be this same treatment as an other one "Brazilian Keratin" uses a product that eventually damage the hairs. I've done it because I don't know what to do to cope with the water in Dubai, and my hairs are suffering a lot, so hoped they could be a little bit more protected. It looks like it works indeed. Service is the salon in question was a bit strange IMO, but I had what I went for....so then...
