How is everyone? Is anyone coming to the Avent event for BF and weaning etc? Just to let you know that Breastfeeding Q&A are (totally coincidentally!) holding a breastfeeding event on Sat 28th...so if you miss the Avent one, feel free to come along to this one. There will also be talks by experts, and the opportunity for individual questions at the coffee break.

Oh, how great is that dramaqn! We got DD a play gym very excitedly, in the hope that it might keep her occupied but don't think she realises that her hands and feet belong to her. She doesn't reach out for the toys, just looks at them for a few minutes and get bored.

How is everyone? Is anyone coming to the Avent event for BF and weaning etc? We are ok. As usual, eating, burping, sleeping and etc. LO decided to have colic at night, so we are up till 3-4am every night. Had to move to Infacol. Also finding difficult to put her earlier, cause my first is going to sleep about 11pm, so I can put LO only after the older is asleep :( Thanks god, DS is going to nursery, so we can get some sleep in the morning. LO started cooing and "talking" to me, so it's more fun now :) It's funny to see that she smiles at and gets facinated with lamps and toys :D

all is well here too. we've had about 10 days worth of smiles (and yes, heart-melting is the best way to describe it!) and got our 2month vaccines (a wee bit early) yesterday. starting to have slight issues with wind but she's taken to gripe water and that seems to do the trick. still sleeping from about 10pm-3:30 before needing one feed and then waking at about 6 or 7 for breakfast. Still not enough sleep for me but I'm getting used to the schedule. 6 weeks down...and what perhaps 20 years to go? ;) im wondering about stovetop....

I love the name by the way, she will def gain the weight back once your milk fully comes in, she was born at good weight so they should let you go home, I know how you feel being stuck in the hospital. Wish you all the best and enjoy your new baby girl! edited by Barbara19 on 26/03/2011

ok - im pretty much functional again! cord was off within 6 days and she's sleeping great. and we're nearly over the painful bit of the bf...nearly. so now, when is that next coffee morning in the marina? :) DC, I'm still struggling with BF issues :( oh no - im sorry to hear that stovetop. remember there are plenty of options out there. dont let it get you down or prevent you from enjoying your little one. there are plenty of bonding moments. we co-slept for the first 3 nights and those morning moments were absolutely divine. have you sought assistance? are we going to try the next coffee morning?

Please stovetop, I had my baby via c section on saturday and just got discharged today, i need someone to help me with baby bathing/massage till her cord dries up, please if the lady can do that please let me know, I live in JLT if she is willing to come to my house. Am so so afraid of bathing her and her cord and am also recovering from the operation Suma from Healing Hands. 0505797355. I live in JLT too. Not very sure about the prices per session since I have a monthly package, but do know that she is very affordable. And she is the only person I found who's legal, so that's always a plus. Tell her you got her contact from Anya's mum in JLT.

thanks stovetop :) I hope everything is ok with you and baby too :) where you get your massage done? At home. Its an Indian style massage for both new mom n baby that we do after the delivery to get the body back in shape and the muscles to regain their strength - its almost a given in our part of the world. Luckily, I've found a lady who is good and is legal, she comes Saturday to thursday. If you want to try it, lemme know. If you want to know more about it, try googling indian style postnatal massage.
