Got this off the Net:
Yes, you can freeze sliced deli meat by placing it in the freezer.
I recommend that you wrap it in bag or container designed for freezing foods or tinfoil to prevent 'freezer burn'.
There should be no problem unless the meat has been frozen before and it has not been cooked. Meat should not be frozen, thawed & frozen without cooking to kill the bacteria, etc.. The bacteria that I am referring to are present in all meats and are not harmful unless proper food protocols are practiced. Those being, don't freeze, thaw, & then refreeze meat and meat should be cooked at at least 140 degrees.
You can freeze almost anything once cooked, just make sure you defrost thoroughly!

Thanks ladies... think it'd be ok to keep in the fridge for DH? (I'm pregnant and DD is only 2 so don't want to chance it) or better off just chucking it? Grrr... i hate wasting food
I think it should be OK to defrost and eat them, no need to cook- in fact preferrable not to, as bacteria multiplies as the food heats up and cools down.
ETA - OK, I see it is intended for your DD. I would say not OK for a little one as they're not as robust as grown ups.

My helper put the turkey cold cuts in the freezer and now i don't really know what to do. Please advise ladies. I got them for DD to make sandwiches... once i defrost them are they safe to eat? Do i need to heat them? will they need to be cooked and eaten within 24 hours (treated like raw defrosted meat)? They are the cooked kind that you can just use cold in a sandwich.
