Gifts for Children and Friends Back Home?

Morning everyone, I was wondering if you could help me as I am rather stumped.
What can I bring my friends and, more importantly, their children who are all under 7 as gifts from Dubai?
Something that says 'this is from the middle east' or 'this is from Dubai'.

I would bring them a 2 hour stint on hold with a Ministry, which really says 'UAE', but that might be hard to pack..

Any ideas?

get the girls their names in arabic on a necklace - if you do it in silver it's not expensive and is a really lovely little gift. totally unique. You could get those pictures done with their name - the ones where an A is done like the Burj Al Arab - they do them in the malls and definitely in madinat souk - friends of ours have often bought them as a souvenir for their children and hung them in their bedrooms.

I picked up some build a bears @ Marina Mall with abayas. Stuffed camels, dates, Persian rug coasters, henna kits, pashminas and a mosque alarm clock. I found that most of the items were the same price at the gift shop above C-4 @ the MOE so I was able to avoid Karama.

Go down to Karama and fill your bags with all kinds of Dubai rubbish..t-shirts, bags, camels, keyrings, magnets etc etc etc Also, they do those little bottles with pictures made in sand which are quite cute (if a bit touristy) and those name plates made out of dubai buildings. Thanks SQ, those are good ideas! I also did want to get something that doesn't actually say Dubai on it, I meant something that evokes the feeling of the middle east - like some sort of cultural bauble or maybe get the little girls something 'belly dancer-ish' that they can dress up in at home etc..
