Good luck Nobbles. Keep at them. We were charged AED10,000 for water we did not consume as we were out of the country for a month. Had an investigation completed by a maintenance company who said their meter was faulty. DEWA replaced the meter and hello, it's all back to normal. We fought them for four months, had our power and water disconnected three times as we refused to pay until they sorted it out. Made numerous trips to their HO and spoke to senior staff who basically said no use fighting it and to just pay. I was 4 months pregnant at the time and furious at their lack of customer service. Ended up paying the bill just to make the problem go away. Our normal monthly bill at the time was only AED400.00. They are absolutely hopeless and had the nerve for their customer service department to phone me a month later to see if I was happy at how they handles my complaint! Document everything and take the names of everyone you speak with

Thank you soooo much! They are driving me nuts! Has anybody had any luck with dealing with the complaints dept? Thanks for all your help. I cannot believe how I have been treated by DEWA and they are not going to get away with it.
