I went for the first time to this mosque this Friday with my husband and baby daughter (9months) to discover that children were not allowed in!
It was super hot outside and the cleaner did not allow me at the women section.
After a long fight i managd to wait outside but in the shade and after my husband was done with the prayer, I went upstairs to the women prayer room while my husband held the baby to find three kids in the prayer room, the room that was big and almost empty !!!
The cleaner/ guard told me then: "u can go from the other door with the child" what amazes me is that both entries/doors lead to the same room! So I don't get it why others were allowed in while not us, and make me miss the prayer.
I was and still am very upset. I don't recommend this mosque despite its luxury! It is clearly not family friendly! We tried to contact management to complain but no one was available!
If you have their number, please would give it to me as I called the information number and they don't have it o_O.
gaijind, May be they have this no-children entry policy to maintain the quite atmosphere in the mosque. Your chid is small, But its usual to see children crying and running around in the mosque with no control what so ever.
This is the address and number i got on the website: http://alfarooqcentre.com/

Open for visitors sat-thu 10-12; went last week - they don't have any organized tours yet but they will take you inside and they will borrow abaya as well if needed.
It's extremely beautiful inside and outside; also in the night time many people have been outside taking photos.
