Hi Parf - Yes Apricot is right, The childrens garden a a very good school especially if you want them to learn German or French - I use to work there but since i fell pregnant i stopped. There are a few good schools out there you just have to take time and go look as everyone has different opinions on what a school requires. My child will start at Ladybird montessori in jumeirah. She loves it as she did summer school there. I also hear blossom nursery is great!
Google mumcierge and join the group - we meet up every Wednesday at MOE for themed coffee mornings. Pregnant mommy's and new mommy's they are all welcome. They also have activities for toddlers every tuesday.

I've seen 1 yr olds at The Chidrens Garden Jumeirah, and they certainly don't have tv screens in the classrooms! Most likely the classes will start after Eid holidays (Sept 15?).

I brought my 9 months old to the nursery last week for the first time and she really enjoys interacting with other kids. As i live downtown we chose kangaroo kids. But from september onwards, I am considering other nurseries.
The fact is that I am pregnant and will deliver in october so I need to put her at least half day as it becomes difficult to play with her all day.
I have read a lot of comments about nurseries and I feel lost. I am considering Kids island and Kensington on jumeirah as they seem to have a lot of activities. The problem for me is that kids island closes quite early....
Kangaroo is fine but as i stayed some days to watch what was going on, it seemed as if there not really structured activities and sometimes the staff looks as if they just want to make time pass but putting children in front of the computer/tv/. So i am looking for a place where my daughter can really enjoy structured activites and be stimulated.
I am considering to put her 3 days in one nursery and maybe 2 days in another but fear that she finds that confusing. What would be your tips/advices???
Also, if some of you live aorund downtown and would like to meet, i'd be happy to.
