How does it work with hire cars and salik, do they have an inbuilt price or do they give you extra bill at the end of hire car period for salik charges. TIA

Our first rental was with Thrifty and they never charged us at the end of the rental. However, Hertz informed us of the cost at the end of our rental with them and they will take it out of the 900 dirham they blocked on our card.

I am driving a rental at the moment (due to accident by hubby), and I was informed that they would charge me 5 dhs for each pass. However, my question (which I forgot to ask) was what about going through two (2) gates and only getting charged once. I am keeping a record of my salik passes. Has anyone settled up recently and been charged per gate or only the one time?

Yes they should provide you with a listing of all your Salik charges and I think they charge 1 dirham more each time too.
