Has anyone bought a property in this development. Our villa was delivered 2 years late and am thinking of filing a case against them as per the instructions of a lawyer. Anyone filed a case against the developer and won the battle? Any advice would be helpful.

Thanks for this and sorry not been on here for a few days. The developer cost buyers a lot of money in interest due to late delivery and if others have succeeded in taking legal action then I will do the same. They shouldnt be allowed to get away with late delivery. If we didnt pay for the 2 years, they would be taking legal action against us. Should work both ways.

Our villa was very late too, but it is all forgotten now, we love living here and I am just glad that we didn't buy at Jumeirah golf estates! I think taking legal action could also involve a lot of emotional and monetary investment with a small chance of winning any compensation. Yes, it was a long delay, but if the credit crisis had happened a year earlier we could still be waiting for somewhere to live and have lost a lot of money. I guess it depends on how strongly you feel and the commitment you feel towards taking legal action. We've been here over two years now and think it is a wonderful place. Good luck with whatever you decide to do! There is a forum for VH residents and you might find a lot more information on there, just google it.
