Does anyone have any experience of using these companies for moving belongings from Dubai to Australia? Any feedback would be most welcome.

My sister moved back to Qld from Abu Dhabi in December and used Allied Pickfords. Appalling before service from Crown who she had intended on going with and ended up using Allied and everything was fine, quicker than expected and not a single thing broken. She was in touch with them the whole way and they kept her up-to-date on where the ship was etc ... I think it can just depend on who are the packers, I was there and saw her stuff being packed and they did an excellent job. Were cheaper than crown too. I had friends who left in December for Sydney using Crown and were misquoted the oprice with Crown as well as the space for their stuff and on the moving days Crown came to them and said actually your stuff does not fit in the container we have for you and you know need to have part of another one at 10,000 plus more dirhams and you can imagine how angry they were. I'm sure everyone has horror stories from many movers but these are just recent examples that may help you to decide.

We used Allied Pickfords to move from Switzerland to here and whilst they were great back home, I wasn't very impressed with their service here so wouldn't recommend them...

We are in lower north shore... Love being back in OZ, but suprisingly a bit culture shocked after 6 years in Dubai!! Missing our friends in Dubai.... Otherwise settling and unpacking boxes... Ho hum...

we used Santa Fe from Dubai to Sydney. So far so good. We used them before this as well also frm Singapore to Melbourne years ago. famnOz - where about in Sydney are you?

Just moved from Dubai to sydney with Crown.. Great service... And all I can say is when you get the quote from them it will be high, but we bargained and got it for the same price as Allied. Heard too many recent horror stories with Allied so didn't seriously consider it.
