Just wondering what your LOs are up to so far?

Walking, talking, waving, hi fiveing
eating with cutlery (what are there favourite foods) feeding themselves, using a cup
how much milk do they drink?
playing with crayons (without eating them) drawing, painting
How long do they sleep, what naps do they still take?
What games do you play with them?

I know all babies are different, but would love to hear your news.
Any tips and info much appreciated :)

agree with kiwis - not good to compare as all babies are very different. However to answer your questions, my DS is just about 13 months old: Started walking just before he turned one and waves/hi fives. He says a few words like car, and ta (when he wants something!), mummum and daddy, and cookie (he has an obsession with cookie monster) and makes some animal noises like a funny version of quack when he sees a duck. He recognises certain objects in books and will grab me a certain book if I ask him for it - like "the book with the cat" and then he points to our cat too. Foodwise he is a great eater and eats everything but still likes to be spoon fed most of his meals although will feed himself finger foods like bread and fruit and cheese. He drinks milk twice a day - in the morning in a sippy cup with breakfast and a bottle before bed. We haven't tried drawing yet as he still tries to put too much into his mouth but maybe in a few months. He naps twice a day - a 30-45 min nap in the morning and a 2 hour nap in the afternoon then sleeps 7pm to 7am (ish) He loves anything to do with music (loves his mini maracas and shaky instruments) and dancing (esp to the Wiggles songs), books, is obsessed with balls and balloons and loves splashing in water. He can sometimes put shapes in the sorter with some help and also loves anything that he can stack. Another favourite gave is just simply putting things in things and taking them out.

its really not a good idea to compare, you start worrying yours is not meeting milestones. At 14 months my guy was obsessed with playing with and reading books about cars and trucks and animals. he was talking a lot, putting 3 words together in a little sentences "mummy's hot tea" "mummy carry teddy" etc but only just starting to walk. He could name all his shapes by 18 months but was only just starting to be able to fit them into his shape sorter, someof my firends kids could do puzzles by 6 months. Other friends had kids who didn't utter a single meaningful word until after 18 months, some walked at 10 months etc etc. The interesting thing is that now they are all turning two, and they are pretty much all on par as far as talking, walking etc, it really depends on what they are interested in learning at the time and how they have developed. At 14 months my guy was on one daytime nap (3-4 hours) and slept from 7pm to 6:30am without waking, 2 months earlier he had still been having 1-3 BF'ds a night. he could feed himself and use a cup but he much preferred I do it instead. favourite games were (and stll are) filling up the water table with bubbles, watering the garden with a little watering can, reading stories, playing with cars, hide and seek, helping mummy put the washing in the machine, wrestling on the couch, feeding the cat.
