Hi there,
I am 20 weeks pregnant, due date 4th November (first baby for me). I am loving reading through all the EW pregnancy posts and have seen quite a few expectent mums for October and December and just wondered if anyone out there is also due in November like me? Would love to hear from anyone if so. If not, I'll crash the October post!

Hi all. Just thought I should re-introduce myself again. Soon to be FTM and Im due 30 November. I joined a while back but stopped using the forum....had a bit of a tough pregnancy, these last few weeks I have been going bored out of my mind so find myself back on here! Just wanna say congrats to all who have had their little one and wishing everyone else waiting for their special bundle all the very best. :)

My little girl decided to surprise us and arrived yesterday morning at 5.30am. She's all sleepy and adorable so far. I hope I'm not going to be 'bumped off' the November thread :)

Hi all , am due nov 17th but feel likes it's anytime now. This is baby #2 and as per my gyn, am having baby at the Corniche hospital. Would love to hear advice or any comments about what your experience was like if you did give birth at the Corniche. I was quite anxious at first to attend appointments because of horror stories shared from friends and others who'd tred the Corniche before choosing another hospital, but because my gyn said I was high risk ie weight and age over 35yrs, I felt like I had o choice hence attending the Corniche. I do find the appointments an all morning affair now that I have to go every 2 weeks but all in all good service both by the uk midwives as well as the gps. I want to know if pain killers are free or is it paid for? I have Adnic med insurance, and maternity box is ticked on my card. I also am having to work until D-day. I'm getting tired now and where I can will use my sick days if I need to to have some reprieve. Look forward to hearing from any who gave birth via corniche.

hi zuniya123 there are lots of great threads already on what to pack for the hospital, just use the EW search function. as far as what your hospital provides, it's best you ask them directly as each hospital differs in what is supplied free of charge. i am delivering at american hosp so did a tour with their head midwife and she detailed inclusions in our package. it might be safer to take what you think you'll need rather than be wanting anything. if it's bub no 2 then i'm sure you have a feeling for what you'll need for the baby for the stay.

We're more or less in the same boat then, give or take 10 days. My DD#1 and DD#2 will be exactly 2 years apart as things currently stand...

so funny...nope DS' birthday is on the 10th (we're celebrating a week early) and i'm due on the 10th so if bub comes on time they'll be exactly 2 years apart eeek. im hoping bub is comfy in there and they wont have the same birthday. but a healthy bub is of course the main concern. best of luck to you!

Hi Scratch, Fingers crossed for your DS' party. So your DS' birthday is 2nd and you're due with no. 2 on the 10th? How exciting! How many years apart will they be? My DD#1's birthday is actually the 1st Nov (same day as I'm currently booked to have no. 2 unless she arrives earlier on her own volition) but I opted for a party in October as frankly, the idea of having a newborn and running around with cupcakes and candles seemed all too much for me. You are brave!

good job re-starting the thread ummshamsa. wow not long to go till 2 to juggle for you! i have a dr app tomorrow so will see what she says but i'm hoping for a late arrival (due 10th) as i planned a bday party for the 2nd nov for my DS...risky but hope it pans out. if you all haven't heard already there is a baby bazaar market on next week at times square which looks like it will be a good one. all 2nd hand baby things. no doubt most of you are well organised but might be worth a look for some bargains. here is the fb event page link. https://www.facebook.com/events/432706803438004/?fref=ts

Ladies, if you've still not purchased your Isofix Family fix base, there's a great deal at Mothercare where there is currently a sale on. Technically Mothercare is out of stock of the Isofix Family fix, however, if you order and pay for it before 22-09 (when the UAE wide sale ends) at the Dubai Mall store you can still get it for the sale price of AED 900 as opposed to AED 1,200. Delivery of the new stock is expected in 7-10 days so well in time for our babes. Oh and they have some gorgeous pyjamas at 50%. Oh and, on the subject of baby/pregnancy related sales, I saw that Blossom in Dubai Mall have a 50% off rack of maternity clothes in the back left hand corner of the shop. Most of the remaining sizes on the rack are L and S, however, they do have some M in the store room. edited by UmmShamsa on 15/09/2012

Hi ladies, Glad to hear everyone's doing well and that some of you have managed to meet up at the coffee mornings! I haven't made it to one yet but might have a day off next Thurs so will try and make it then- and will hopefully be able to find the November table! Louve and Awayfromhome- are you going to the ante-natal class at City this evening? If so I'll look out for you. I'm wearing a blue top and black trousers :-)

Louve, were you downstairs paying for the classes on Tuesday, when we came down, there was such a backwards way of doing it! Were you wearing the denim dress, I think from h&m as I have it too? Ha ha, this game is so funny! If so i was the one paying as well. Don't know about you, but it all became quite real after Tuesday's class. I noticed the lovely long blonde hair, I can't say the nose. This sounds like a dating site! Hi Awayfromhome. Yes that was me laughing at yet another UAE process you shouldn't question. Did enjoy the class and as you said it did make it all very real. BTW, we should coordinate our wardrobe. Feel free to wear the denim dress on Tuesday. I'll wear something else - Love that every pregnant woman has the same outfits!

ClareJLT, hope you've had/ are having a fab time in RAK and thanks for the info on baby bjorns. Forgot to say before, if anyone is after a Baby Bjorn original baby carrier, they are on sale in Mothercare at the moment for 250 dirhams (usually 625 dirhams) so a whopping reduction.

You girls made me laugh all going to the coffee morning but not actually meeting each other. Perhaps when I go this Thursday I'll take a piece of paper saying 'Due in November' and pop it on the table, that way we're easier to spot. Louve - Glad your check up went well and baby is in correct position etc. We also had a check up on Wednesday morning and baby is also in correct position, placenta has finally moved up and all looking good. Hope everyone else is doing well. Enjoy your weekend and see some of you next week :)

Ohh, its funny. It sounds like so many of us was there that almost everyone must be November Mums! Awayfromhome: I was at the City ante-natal on Tuesday and also at coffee meeting yesterday. Pointy nose and long blonde hair? then it is me. I guess I will see you on Tuesday then? Please feel free to poke me as I have no idea what you look like :-) I can give you the facebook details when we meet. Enjoy the weekend. I have sent hubby to a brunch and am dead jealous and wallowing in self-pity... :-)

Hi everyone, Nadiadk, it was lovely to meet you yesterday and I'm gutted I had to go to school in the pm, sounded like it went on for quite some time! Louve, Mrsk8stan, Alexswe, sorry we didn't meet up. I'm just going to be bold next time and ask everyone if they're a November mum! I guess it will be a process of elimination as we see the bumps grow. I don't suppose any of you were at the city hospital antenatal on Tuesday as I saw a lady from here who I saw at the class and just trying to do some detective work! I've got to go back to do some supply teaching for a couple of weeks which I'm (wondering why I accepted) so won't be abe to make it for a couple of weeks, but will go to the Monday 24th and then the Thursday of that week too so hope to meet you there. I think some of the other woes set up a Facebook group at the last coffee mornings so hopefully we can join on that when we meet so recognising each other will be easier! Have a great weekend everyone!

Haha, yes I think we all need to wear red carnations or something! I was also there today and met Awayfromhome. We were wondering if one or two other Nov mums were there but weren't sure to ask (lady in a stripy black and white jumper looked like could have been a Nov size bump maybe?). Anyway, sorry to have missed you MrsK8stan and Louve. I'll be at Monday's coffee morning at Costa Coffee at MOE so maybe we'll meet then if you're planning on going to that one too.

Hi, MrsK8stan: 3 of us was at the coffee meeting, but think we need a sign or some sort of "blind date" rose to recognize each other with all the bumps around. Hope you had a good time though.

Hi Louve and Nadiadk, looking forward to seeing you tomorrow at the coffee morning and any others. That's great news Louve, I know it's all getting close now. Mine is the wrong way up at the moment, hoping it will find the right way soon!

Hi all, Looking forward to seeing the ones who are coming to tomorrows coffee meeting. Will be great to meet more November mums. Had my check-up today and doctor told me that everything is looking good. Baby is growing well and is placed in the right position. We also discussed the birth and my preferences. It is all getting so close now!

Hi all, nice to hear you got to meet up at the last coffee morning. I'll be going along on Thursday so will see you Awayfromhome15, and any of the other Nov mums, there :) Anyone else started to get any Braxton Hicks? Been having them for a couple of weeks now and I got them really bad on the plane on the way over to London which was a bit scary! They've started to get a bit more uncomfortable now with a cramping feeling in my lower abdomen before my tummy goes rigid. Makes that impending d-day ever more a reality!
