dr oetker vege gel
Has anyone used this successfully?
I used beef gelatine successfully and assumed this was the same process. Turns out i have to mix the powder in cold water before heating it. The vege gel sets very quickly so do i add it while its still hot? Anyhow it just didn't work. My cheesecake was in the fridge for over 12 hours and just as runny as i first put it in there. If it was up to me id stick to beef gelatine but i have some many vegetarians in my family id love to be able to bake for them too.
Any help would be appreciated.
