It is 10 mins from JAPS (for now) and 15 mins from all the schools around the Meadows, Springs. And it takes 25 mins to get to Dubai Mall. There is never any traffic coming from Jebel Ali until about MoE.

Fabulous @LalaLayla…very helpful, thanks. I had a look at the development this morning and it looks great. How about schools? Any recommendations on those for this particular area? What about traffic and driving distances to e.g. Dubai Mall? Who knew I'd actually lived in Dubai since 1997!?? I should perhaps have crossed the 'border' more often!! :) thanks again for your input.

Hi MinkyMunky, the area is called Dubai Waterfront and the rental prices are as follows: 5 bed villa - 210,000 3 bed villa (with private pool) - 200,000 3 bed townhouse - 120,000 2 bed townhouse - 100,000 3 bed apartment - 90,000. We live there and we love it. It's very family-centred and the children play together in the communal grassed areas. Residents have social events, barbecues, etc. They are almost exclusively British, European, American & Australian families who live here. It's very safe, everyone knows each other and they are currently installing barriers so that you can't get in without an access card. There is a shop which will be open within the next couple of months. Residents get a 20% discount on membership at the local Jebel Ali Beach Resort. If you have any further questions, please ask away! edited by LaLaLayla on 09/05/2015

Having lived in Dubai for many, many years and having always lived in Bur Dubai and Mirdif we are looking to move closer to my hubs work in Jebel Ali. I am completely clueless with residential areas and places to stay on this side of town and am looking for some recommendations of really nice new family friendly developments with rough AED rental prices before I start looking more in depth. Thanks in advance!
