CG, you can find them at Carrefour next to where they sell pickles and grains. You can simply ask for Ajwa dates, they will know. In my opinion, places like Bateel are overpriced.

Awww, thanks to both of you. I thought Bateel would have them and I go to Dubai Mall about once a week anyway. I'm not sure if I'll be going t Global Village this year since we will be travelling for a few weeks. So I can go to Bateel and ask for Prophet Dates. Phew!

A friend of ours who has left Dubai wants us to get him Ajwa dates. He said that there's a place in Sharjah to get them but I do not want to drive to Sharjah. When I looked up Ajwa dates, all the sites say that they are from Saudia and that they are Prophet Mohammed's PBUH favourite dates. For this reason alone, they should be widely available? I've only ever bought dates at Duty Free so I'm not sure what to look for. There's that nice big date store at Dubai Mall on the LG level. I think they should have them. Help! :) You should try Global village. A colleague recently got them from there.
