So Cathy Pacific joined the never ending list of flying our snub nosed breed fur babies. It would make more sense to improve their onboard conditions for flying these animals!

I know there is so many of these breeds of animals here in Dubai and being such a transit place is going to mean a lot of people having to leave their babies behind or pay a large amount to have them taken by the remaining airlines.

I hope that people will consider this before they choose their pet.

We brought our 2 designer dogs out from OZ 2yrs ago and the only airline that we were allowed to use was Malaysian . They both have Maltese in them plus 1 is x with a cavalier the other poodle. They even came via Pakistan and arrived 48hrs later all in good health.

Ridiculous. :( When we were shipping our shih tzu here, prolonged discussion with the pet carrier we used resulted in choosing BA and our dogs were absolutely fine. What they DID do -- it cost a bit more, but it was worth it -- was put each of them into a large-dog carrier so that they had more air circulating in order to prevent potential breathing problems. All it took was a little foresight and adjustment and they were fine. Smacks of laziness on the part of the growing list of carriers who refuse to take extra care. So sad. :(

Lol Monkey Face! I agree. Cattle class can be truly dire sometimes. Apparently most planes supply less room per person to their economy class passengers then the slaves had on the slave ships... The snub nose thing is good news for me as it is another argument against my DH who wants to get a Pug.

It would make more sense to improve their onboard conditions for flying these animals! I'd rather see the airlines improve onboard conditions for those not fortunate to fly on Business/First Class.
