SkyKitty, you have to sign up for one of the three (morning, afternoon, evening) and attend that, but if there are occasions when you can't make it to your regular class, you can go to another one. You do get into a rhythm with your classmates and it actually feels odd to attend another session. Kathyt, you can have a look at their FB page which has all the info: http://www.facebook.com/arabiclanguagecentre Bindurai is spot on re practice and continuity. We used to meet outside class to practice :)

Thank you so much ladies. Will check it all out. And i know what you mean, bindurai, practice is the key. Have to start somewhere tho, so gonna try and get down the basics and then look to build on that. Thanks again.

I've been a few times to Eton Language Institute in Knowledge Village, which would be closer to you. And while it has been good, the truth is, if you don't continue to practice, you will simply forget what you have learned in a short while. My recommendation would be to enroll in the classes and continue doing some extra work online to brush up your skills... Cheers

Sounds good. Do you have any contact details? And anyone know of any other venues closer to new Dubai?

That sounds great! Can you attend a mix of times or only all mornings or nights, for example?

I just completed Beginners 1 at the Arabic Language Centre (at the World Trade Centre) and it was really great. The teacher was fantastic, the method was well thought out and easy to follow, and everything was integrated (grammar, vocabulary, etc.). The amount I learnt in just 9 weeks was amazing and motivating. I'm doing Beginners 2 next month. The term starts on Feb 8 or 9, so you have time to sign up if you decide to go with this option. They have classes in the mornings, afternoons and evenings. Good luck :)
