Can a Company sponsor a maid?

If the answer is yes, is the maid only allowed to clean the office, or can she clean the company owner's residence as well?

Any input would be appreciated.

Our company sponsored our housemaid when we first got here - she got a three years visa (until she got her ban, but that is another story!) But it's my husband's company.

I think if the husband owns the company than its allowed...but I could be wrong... my friends who own companies have all sponsored their maids through the company and it makes life for the maid easier, even easier for them to travel if you need to take them with you. Technically that is illegal unless the agency is a housemaid agency. Housemaids visas are renewable yearly and their visa states that they are "servants". Company visa's are normally for 2 or 3 years depending whether you have a freezone visa or not. But hey if you can get away with it why not.

A maid cannot be sponsored by a single man, only by a man with a family or by a woman. Also she cannot live with a single man/men. (Don't know the rules regarding company cleaners, but there might be limitations!).

But a company can sponsor a "cleaner" who can, I imagine, clean your home if it is rented by the company. I would think she can even live in if your place is rented by the company.

I dont think so . Im sponsoring a housemaid through an agency and in the terms and conditions it says that the sponsor needs to be a family and the man of the family has to sponsor the maid. it then goes on to say in brackets that a company cant sponsor a maid. ie the sponsors employer.
