I haven't seen it the whole time I have been here, but maybe I am looking in the wrong places. I am hoping to get the unflavoured pieces so that I make 'Chicken' Teriyaki tonight.

Thanks.

Have you tried the "Yves" brand veggie mince (refrigerated section at Spinneys, usually near the prepackaged turkey/chicken products)? It is pre-seasoned so just needs "tweaking"; my family likes it in lasagna and in Mexican dishes. (If you are OK with soy products-- it is soy based.)

Many foods contain allergens. Peanuts/nuts being one of the most dangerous but foods containing nuts are not removed from the shelves. I think the message should always be to try something new with caution, if you have any ill effects then don't eat it? I ate Kiwis and prawns for many years and then suddlenly developed severe allergies to both. I now eat prawns again with no reactions, but kiwis still give me a severe reaction. Mrs P there are many Lulus in Abu Dhabi but I mostly shop at the Khalidiya and Mushriff Mall branches. At various times I can find the mince, chicken pieces, fishless fingers, southern 'chicken' strips, southern style 'chicken' burgers, sausages, cumberland sausages, 'beef' burgers and very ocassionally the ready meals like 'chicken' tika and shepherds pie. They don't always have all of this stuff as it seems to come in batches. I love quorn and actually prefer it to meat, especially the mince as it is a much nicer texture than real lamb/beef mince and it means I can eat shepherds pie and chilli again :)

more importantly, why would you want to? http://www.cspinet.org/quorn/ Rather that than horsemeat. Also, the article talks about it causing allergic reactions - like a lot of other foods so just a bit sensationalist me thinks. I have to carry an epipen for food that I'm allergic too.

I have seen a huge assortment in the Greens and at Lulus in Barsha also I suppose it is supply and demand, if one particular item doesn't sell well then they wont stock it

Not sure about Lulus in Dubai but here in the Lulus in Abu Dhabi there is an excellent selection of quorn. So good that when I was back in the UK and trying to get some of the products in Tesco they didn't have most of the ones I get here, only the basics.

Went to the new Waitrose on Al Thanya the other day and they had a pretty good range of quorn too.

Choithrams in Greens, Lulu near MOE & sometimes Carrefour too. I think I'm going to try to persuade Lulu to stock a wider range of the quorn products, in the UK, there are so many items available but here there's only 3-4. They seem to have the space. Would anyone like to add their support to a request like this?
