Welcome to Dubai! I'm sorry, I can't help with the car-pool, but was wondering if you'd considered hiring a car and driving on your tourist visa/US licence? Or have I misunderstood and you don't have a US licence at all?

We will arrive from the States in a couple of weeks, but by the time the school starts there is no way I would have had my residence stamped and got my driving licence in enough time to take my boys to school.. So my DH will take them to school but looking for help brining them back.. We can share where my husband can take yr kids too in the morning and you can bring ours in the afternoon.. The carpool system works great here in the US and not sure how is it like in Dubai... Please let me know if anyone is interested..
