If you are looking for regular chess boxes (e.g. to play yourself/family members) - these types are available in toy stores (Toy Store, Hamleys) or Dragon Mart obviously (I bought one there when all toy stores were out of stock some time ago and my son desperately needed one). If you need elegant (decorated, fancy looking) - that type you would find in souvenir shops (like Al Jaber)

We looked and looked and looked! Depends what you mean by elegant of course but we simply couldn't find one that wasn't either awful and gaudy or really cheap and nasty. Ended up going to the UK to get one.
