Hi,

We are planning to go next week - is it worth booking Royal Club Room? Are kids (3 and 1 year old) allowed in the Lounge? I know many hotels have a 'no under 12 policy'.

Had mine there & was no problem although I did make sure he was quiet & didn't disturb anyone.

We went Jan 2010 and friends with a 4 yr old have been more recently. Kids definitely allowed in the club lounge, though I guess if they disrupted the peace and quiet there would be feedback! The massage is about 15 mins and on a first come first serve basis between 4.30-5.30 daily. It isn't a special deal, they just don't advertise it! ETA The head, neck and shoulder massage in held in the ClubLounge, behind a discreet screen. A male for a male and a female for a female!! edited by Sue R on 10/03/2011 Ooooh not like me to miss out on a free massage!!!!!!!

Thanks again for the feedback, I have tried to call the hotel twice to ask about child policy - but all I get is what ma'am? no ma'am I mean yes ma'am All the websites I have looked at state it is open all day for tea/coffee, soft drinks and afternoon tea which is good (standard in most lounges) - like the bit about the massages!! We always stay in a club room and the kids have always been allowed into the lounge. I think that must be a special deal if it includes a massage as it never did before.

Good to see they've increased the benefits of a club room! There certainly wasn't massages or all day access when we went, and breakfast was a very (below) average affair (with coffee you could melt plastic with...)

Too right it's worth booking a club room........b'fast included with table service, all day access to club lounge - tea, coffee, afternoon tea at 4pm, complimentary daily massage between 4.30-5.30pm, complimentary drinks in the bar (yes really) 7-9pm (times may be wrong)........great value for not much extra!

Hi - we had a club room (this was 18 months ago) and even though there was a no children rule, there were some in there most nights. Would I book a club room there again? No - IMO I'd much rather have been down at the bar/restaurant that's right down on the beach (sorry, brain dead and can't remember the name) - great food / service /drinks / atmosphere. Always pop in there when we go diving.

Not sure of the actual policy but we have seen young children in both the astro bar and the club lounge.
