I'm almost 33, I have certainly 'aged' in the last year, but am not sure what 32 looks like anyway? All I know is that whenever I have told someone my age they are visibly shocked and think I am much older :( Me too MI although I've just turned 34. I'm sure I wasn't quite so haggard pre 3 children. I've taken to telling people I'm 40 then basking in the warm glow of all the 'you look much younger' compliments. Brilliant idea Daza - I have just turned 34 too ... and I will be adopting this idea from now on! hehehe

Even though I let my hair go natural (all grey), I'm still surprised to see the responses when I tell people I am 55. Some people have told me if I were to color my grey I could probably pass for 40, however I figured that after raising 6 kids, I EARNED this head of hair so I shall wear it proudly!

I am 34 but I dont look like, people think I am 25 somethimes even 18. The inmigration officer last time was telling me he was going to send me to passport control because I didnt even look 18 to him, he kept looking at me (I guess it was the casual clothes and lack of makeup, but no way, my skin is not that great). I think is mostly genes, since I was a teenager I always looked younger. Also when you are petite, no matter what you always look younger. It can be good or bad. When you are an engineer in a male dominate environment, they can really understimate you.

I think I look a few years younger than I do, get chatted up quite often by guys that are a lot younger than me. I love my body after pregnancy it looks better than before thanks to some fantastic exercise I learnt from personal trainers. I know some of you think I'm joking but I'm not and after my 30ies I developed cheekbones that I didn’t have in my 20ies, more of a baby face back then. I do have some wrinkles but don't want to go down the Botox route, rather healthy living regular facials etc. If I have another baby I’m not so convinced I could bounce back to the same though....

I look 8-10 years younger. I'm 32. I got married 3 years back & had my 1st kid before 1 year. Maybe because I didnt get married & had kids in my 20s. I also have a baby face & I'm a bit small, so I will never have sophisticated looks . Sometimes I really wish I look a bit older esp when I was working :D

Certainly look my age, probably older - but have had a good life & enjoy my cigs & a glass of red - I worked with a stunning lady in London who had hardly aged since she was 16 - 52 (when I knew her - proof in a photo montage) but then she had never see the sun, enjoyed a glass of vino & certainly never smoked or stayed up after 9pm :) I enjoy an evening out and quite often will have someone half my age chatting away to me. I think if you love yourself & love life it show's - it's not always what's on the outside that counts. Fantastic, can't agree more. We should meet up. I'm 54 and enjoy life to the fullest, don't diet, have my glass of wine and my cigs. Children of my friends who are now in their twenties plus, come to visit us in Dubai and I find myself in Clubs to chaperone them, or so I say. What a life.

LOL agree nothing wrong with wanting to retain those youthful looks, although I do think too many young gorgeous women are drawn into the 'I must be perfect at any cost' route. I do feel like if you are happy within yourself it is projected to others no matter what age - as for personal growth, wisdom & self worth ... yes I've got some of that but still have a lot more to go. I think genes & where you grow up do have a lot to do with how you age, saying that I am now pedantic about my LO's wearing sunscreen - growing up in the sun does not help. <em>edited by CRx2 on 17/01/2011</em>

This topic was intended as a light thread rather than an intense one. I asked 'Do you look your age?' and the answers have predominately addressed that particular question. If I had asked do you feel wiser, more centred, are you satisfied with your personal growth then the answers may have been different. There is nothing wrong with looking the age you are just as there is nothing wrong with wanting to look more mature or more youthful. I don't find this thread sad just a bit of online chat. I wouldn't revisit it if it made me unhappy. I wasn't taking a pop at you, was just surprised at some of the answers, that's all...........and especially the young age of those so concerned about aging. And I do find that sad, sorry.

No, certianly (sp) don't look my age, coming up to 30 and I keep being told I look between 16 and 19. Doesn't help with I'm 5ft1 and tiny. Have to say though, I do like it in some respects, at least I'll look younger when I hit 40.

Am I the only one that looks older????? I have been asked for ID once in my life when I was about 16 - then when I said 'excuse me' to the bouncer, he said 'Sorry, my mistake..' and let me in. I have often been out with friends older than me when they have been asked for ID, and I have not. Guess no-one will be requesting my skincare secrets!!! Well most people do not tell other people that they look older or when people say how they look so much younger many are not likely to correct them. When I was a teenager I looked older then by the time I was 25 it was like I held onto that age into my early 30's. Then I had 2 babies and it really kicked the cr*p out of me! Damn I am haggard but I am under renovation now ;)

Im 32, married 7 yrs and got two kids... but strangers that meet me alone (without the family with me) dont believe im married or with kids! they estimate me 10years younger which is GREAT!!! more recently im getting 7 years youngers but hey ho , cant complain!! Nice :)
