I have been quoted 1000 Dhms by a company to collect, have attested at the Chinese Embassy in Dubai and delivered back to Motor City. Is this expensive? Is there anybody who lives in Motor City who has a driver or someone I could use to have this done cheaper rather than pay this money to a company.

Jump in a taxi and go down there yourself. 1000 does seem alot just to have something attested. If the Chinese Embassy is near all the others, it will cost approx 70dhs each way in a taxi.
