We have never ordered from Amazon before and saw UAE was not one of the countries they send items to. Looking at recent post people have said that Amazon do, so please can anyone tell me for sure. I'm in need of books, how quick is the delivery time on Amazon?

I placed an order at the beginning of August for 2 Dvd box sets and they arrived 10 days later, were cheaper than buying here and were not edited!

Just be aware that the Book Depository prices seem to be outrageous, so technically you are actually paying for the 'free' shipping. I've just purchased two cookbooks from Amazon, the Amazon price of one book is twice at the BD and the other book at BD is THREE times more expensive than buying through Amazon. I check them against amazon - some are more expensive, some are cheaper.

I get my books off Amazon ( they deliver DVD's and CD's too) They used to take 7-10 working days but now taking almost a month

I haven't found them outrageous and they regularly have offers like 10% off-or 15% off everything in your wishlish so you can always wait for those-I compare with Amazon but so far so good

Book Depository prices can be very competitive. I bought quite a few books from them way cheaper than Amazon prices and didn't have to pay for postage.

Amazon has size restrictions on international orders so won't ship big coffee table books-whereas Book Depository ships everything-and all for free

Not everything is shippable outside of NA due to restrictions from manufacturers. I have this problem often with electronics. We frequently buy from Amazon but use Aramex's Shop and Ship to get it to Dubai. http://www.shopandship.com/default.aspx
