I too have had really bad experiences wid dry claeners as they end up stretching my knits. The tops get wide necked and seem to fall off my shoulders...and they insist the clothes were exactly how they gave them to me...GRRRR!!! Never had much luck with refunds for damaged clothes.

happened to me with an expensive (for me) silk dress where they ironed out the pleats at the shoulders so totally ruining it. they normally limit claims to c. 10 times the cost of cleaning the item. i managed to negotiate more by agreeing to accept credit for further cleaning instead of cash- needless to say i only used the credit on linens and indestructible items! good luck...

I am sooo cross!!!!! I look a lovely expensive silk blouse to the drycleaners. It was returned with a fabric sticker on the back which I didnt notice until I was ready to go out. It left a sticky mark. I took it to the drycleaners the next day and pointed it out. They sent it back for cleaning free of charge. Sadly it was probably just cleaned normally and the mark has been well and truly pressed in. I refused to accept it and insisted they tried again. Now the manager wants to come to my home to discuss it. So a blouse I have only worn twice has been drycleaned 4 times. Hopefully they haven't ruined it but I am sure it'll still have the mark that THEY put there in the first place. I am so cross. I dont have the receipt, I cant ask them to replace it since it was bought before Christmas and so is no longer in the shops. What is reasonable to ask for /accept? What success have you had in situations like this?
