I came home this evening and whilst parking my car I noticed an envelope on the windscreen of our other car. I opened it and in it was a business card with "MEMBERSHIP BY INVITATION ONLY" written on it with a website on the top left corner and Username and Password in the right corner. I have just logged on and it is an escort website with details of girls who are willing to 'accompany' men on their international travel. There are rates mentioned as well as a profile pic of each girl which you will not be surprised is with them wearing very little.
I am so angry that they managed to get into a secure car park and also that this has been left on our car. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do. Should I tell the police?

I admit I had to giggle a bit reading this thread. Come on now ladies, surely you all realize the market for such services here in the UAE is gigantic, illegal or not... As for reporting it to the police, there's really nothing they'll be able to do. I very much doubt the website will be hosted inside the UAE, and despite all their "surf safely" (haha) efforts the internet is still free for all. Let it go, it's just spam. I wonder about the internet "surf safely" bit here! I tried to log onto a fitness clothing website and got that message ?! And another time, followed a link to a website called something like archaelogistnews.com and was redirected to a Japanese...er..."massage techniques" website which was quite graphic! LOL

Argh I get them under my door quite often. Good thing is the building management is implementing a swipe card system yay! I agree though it's not smart logging in on any suspicious websites, it could harm your computer. I would still go to the police.

Should I tell the police? why did you log in ? what did you think it was going to be ?? I'm always careful about opening links on my computer if i don't know the source..... okay, maybe I would do the same like her....in a defence she must call the police and tell exactly what she said over here....so if they track the IP addresses she will[b'> clear herself with that[/b'>. That's not what i meant.... :\: then what? maybe I did not notice something? please do tell... just a pc security issue - logging into an unknown website with a pre-arranged password etc...
