Executive towers

Would you please give me some feedback about both places... i.e. ballpark figure for rents (minumum 2 bedrooms), are white goods provided? If not, are we allowed an electric oven/gas burner combination? (I read conflicting feedback re this :( ) Is there a preference as to which Executive Tower building I ought to view? Are there any balconies, will scaled down patio furniture fit comfortably? Any recommendations re realtors who market them (I did try to get some info from respective websites but nothing concrete) and any other info you may feel relevant to a prospective tenant, thanks !

As new roads and shops are opening and work in progress in front of Et hope completed ASAP.The rent and sale prices also coming up.Any info what is rent of 2 BR medium 1400+sq ft size .

Gas is not allowed in Exec Towers, this includes gas barbecues. The roads around the towers are work in progress and will be for a while, not something that is going to be fixed overnight!

Good Day We have got APTT in Tower M and shifting in july.Would u pl can tell me in kitchen using Elect heater or gas cylinders.Any other precaution pl confirm.I saw a lot of construction in progress even public parking in front of K,L,M also closed any status if somebody knows pl confirm.

London Dairy do not deliver. I asked them. Tips and Toes have not responded to my email so im not sure when it will be open. I did pop my head round the door when I walked past and its a bomb site !

Tips and Toes will be open on 15 April... :-P What else have we got on the horizon? Any new boards up round the back where we never go??

I called Umi Sushi again and they are not open and dont anticipate on being open for another week. they were still waiting on the certificate.. same applies with canteen. The lady said that canteen is going to a buffett style resturant and it will be international cuisine ! ill get my fat pants ready then when it opens :)

SEY, I will look out for you downstairs amongst the Maid Mafia.........:\: We need a secret signal...lol. Empower is charged on the square footage of your apartment. You firstly need to clarify if you the tenant (Am assuming you are a tenant!) will be paying the standard quarterly charge or if your LL will pay this for you. If you are paying it, and you are thinking about the 3 bed, the standard quarterly charge is around AED 2,000 per quarter (will check that is right and post later). So you will pay that whether or not you switch your AC on. What you are paying for is a constant "fresh air" system that means if you have it rigged up properly you will hardly need your a/c on at all, especially during winter months. We only have our a/c on at night in one room, and even in summer hardly on at all during the day. (We don't face the sun though). Then on top of that you will have your consumption charges, which again if you are rigged up properly (it will take a few trips of getting them out to make sure it's all working properly) then your consumption should be very low. Then your DEWA bill is only electricity and water. HTH.

Hi Alison and SEY, thanks for getting back so quickly. I agree Sey I'll have to investigate the bills in our block carefully. Alison, your bills do seem erratic with some strange spikes, are your cats playing with the AC controls while you are out ? cheeky minx's. I'll keep an eye on the kids too to make sure they don't do the same thing. Sey, yes the apartments are now owned by FG bank and the 3 beds+maid are listed at 108k, the living room is an ok size, but the bedrooms are not huge. A play date sounds like a great idea. Thanks again for your replies, finger crossed that I will now be able to make up my mind........

Hi Bawn, Tower G is the newest tower, that is correct. All of the other towers were handed over ages ago. Tower H, B, L, M, K are all two and a half years old. Then I think E, F & C were handed over about a year ago if not more. Tower G is literally being handed over now. What I heard is that Tower G has been purchased by a company (I think First Gulf Bank) and there was a problem on its financing or something like that, hence the delay in it being handed over. I live in a 3-bed in Tower H and my bedroom faces Tower G and so it definitely has not been occupied before the last few weeks. If you wouldn't mind sharing, what prices are being quoted for Tower G? In terms of Empower, Alison I am absolutely shocked by how you have to pay (nearly 4,000 Dhs in September!!). Bawn, every apartment is different and it depends on the size obviously and which direction your apartment faces. Our demand is 600 per quarter (for a 3-bed) but I know of people that live in a two-bed in Tower B that pay a demand of 1,800 per quarter. Consumption then is charged monthly and comes on top of your demand. Our Empower bill has never been more than 5 or 600 dhs in a month, but like Alison has said below I have friend in Tower C that paid upto 2,000 in a month. The demand is usually the biggest chunnk of the Empower bill and the consumption isn't as bad, in the summer months its literally 20 or 30 dhs, in the summer 4 or 500 dhs. I don't really know what to advise you. It might be worth ringing Empower and asking. Or before you sign your contract, ask people that have recently moved into Tower G and face the same side as the apartment you are considering. Finally, with regards to the podium, there are a loads of kids and maids on the podium after about 5pm everyday. You are right that primarily it's maids that are out there and not mothers, but there are some moms (me being one of them), who generally look desperate to talk to other moms! I have a 4 and a half year old girl, so if you do move in let me know and we can meet on the podium one day. Kicking a ball is technically not allowed on the podium, neither are pets...but I have seen both, so it pretty much depends on what mood Security are in!!

Not sure about the newness of Tower G but I live in Tower C. I live alone (2 cats) in a 3-bed apartment. I keep the AC on constantly in the bedroom as cool as possible but the rest of the apartment is usually off, the lounge AC coming on occasionally. I keep the lounge between 23 and 25 degrees. For the last 10 months my Empower bills have been: June 11 - 743.16 AED July 11 - 2771.01 AED August 11 - 992.17 AED September 11 - 3799.90 AED October 11 - 1098.40 AED November 11 - 848.25 AED December 11 - 1747.41 AED January 12 - 309.91 AED February 12 - 220.59 AED March 12 - 1896.21 AED I have to say I have no idea why it fluctuates so much. I have not seen an actual bill for a year, the above amounts are what are debited to my credit card.

Hi All, I hope you can help me with a few queries from a perspective ET resident. We have been looking at a few 3 beds in Tower G. The agent says that this is the newest occupied tower, is that true...? The price seems right, but I'm getting such mixed feedback on the agents on the standing charge and cost of Empower AC that its getting me really confused. Can you let me know what the real cost is. ? Lastly but not lestly, we have two boys in their early teens and a 5 year old girl who will be craving friends to hang out with (and kick a ball around if allowed). I have seen lots of kids on the podium level, but primarily with maids, not many mums, I'm praying that you do all get out and about with your kids as I would love to meet up........
