I sent an email to Dubai Properties to find out what is going on at the back of the towers. Below is their reply: I received your enquiry regarding the back plot of Executive Towers. Please reference the attached drawing, which reflects the most recent verbally approved design of the back plot. You'll see that it includes a mosque, parking and a park area (which includes a running track, water features and children's playgrounds). The leveling is finished and works are supposed to commence after the internal roads are complete (on the front side of the project). Both of these infrastructure projects are being handled by Dubai Properties infrastructure team. If anyone wants to see the PDF attachment you can look here http://sxdwc60.webs.com/ edited by Alison_T on 12/07/2012

I think it has been quite some time since there were any plans for water on that side of ET, I understood this had been shelved some years ago. I don't think they would be flattening/compacting sand if they were going to dig it up for a lake? The last mention of it on the construction websites was that the sand was being compacted for a carpark?.. I went to Tips & Toes the other night and it was FAB!!! Been traipsing to a little salon in Satwa for the last few years so there was a huge difference, nice warm water for hair wash & nice and clean etc - it was heaven!!! And on our doorstep!!! yaaaaaay!! What all did you have done????

Hi amkcbrandon Are you in Tower G too? My daughter would love someone to play with as it's still a long time till school opens. We arrive around the end of July, hope to see you then. I think I read a previous post of yours......we were also in the states...husband for 10 years and me 3 years......London too ! edited by dxbmum3 on 07/07/2012 We're in Tower F -- so not too far from you at all! :-) I'm sure you're swamped with getting things ready for your move (there is NOTHING I hate more in this world than packing!!!) but whenever you have some free time, please email me! amkcbrandon@gmail.com I would definitely love to meet when you arrive! Ladies, I'm trying out "Tips & Toes" tomorrow, so I will let you all know what I think! I haven't tried Valery yet (but I do love the paper their service menu was printed on, if that counts for anything!) Totally excited about everything that is opening up in this area -- my hubby & daughter and anxiously awaiting the opening of "Ming Bowl" -- they love some Chinese food!

Also out the back do we know if there is definitely going to be a park built? I see they have been flatterning it for a long time now! I'm not sure how accurate it is but every artist's impression (including road maps) I have seen of the back of ET shows the area to be a lake and not a park.

Hi everyone Does anyone know whats going on out the front?! Is it just going to be roads? Or is there going to be anyting nice like greenery etc? Also out the back do we know if there is definitely going to be a park built? I see they have been flatterning it for a long time now! Also any West Heights pool update? I am sick of the slipping at East Heights. I'm told when West Heights pool reopens it'll be less slippy round the pool area. I notice at least a couple of people falling everytime I go to the pool, very dangerous!

Report back  Can't say I've ever noticed car park signs/letters, didn't know there were any, maybe what you saw is the signs for entrances to the podium villas? Lots of eateries etc open now. We are spoiled for choice. :)

Went to executive towers to see flats today. Can someone explain the logic why the entrances are lettered the same way as towers, but their location does not match? Tower B and entrance B seemingly had nothing to do with each other! Why?

Hi everyone, my husband has just signed the lease on an apartment in J tower and I'm really looking forward to joining you all in early August. I will be moving with my two teenage daughters and newborn baby so am really hoping to link up with some other mums! For now I have a question about orthodontists though. One of my daughters has braces and I'll need to find an orthodontist straight away ( preferably before I arrive) to take over her treatment. I was just wondering if anyone has any recommendations? Thanks (love the updates about shops opening btw!) http://britishlasikdubai.com/blc/ We've just started treatment for braces at The British Lasik and Cosmetic Surgery Center with Dr.Eyad Hamade. My daughter really likes him so far! I've been pleased, so I would definitely recommend, from what I've seen at this point. My husband has some cosmetic dentistry done here as well and is extremely pleased with the results (Dr.Ahmed Habashy). We've all had cleanings done with him as well.

Hi Everyone Super duper excited ! We're moving to Dubai in July.....family of 5. We've been to Dubai twice a year for the past 4 years, so not so new to Dubai ..... but I guess living there is different ! Two days ago my husband, while in Dubai, rented a 4 bedroom podium villa in tower G. Just looking for some info as this is a new tower. Are there any issues with this tower as it is new ? Can't find much about it. We were originally looking into places in Jumeirah, but the houses just seemed so old....and the newer ones were out of our budget. I liked the look of the podium villas online. There's so much info on this thread ! Would love to meet up with other mummies and children..... I have two boys and a girl ....11, 10 and 8. I've already read a lot of posts on the executive towers....thanks for all the information...I'm going to be a regular here ! edited by dxbmum3 on 22/05/2012 dxbmum3, I hope to meet up with you when you arrive! We just moved 2 weeks ago (my daughter & I joined my husband, who's been here already for a year and a half). I have an 8 year-old daughter as well (she's soon to be 9) but she would love to make a new friend! Let me know when you're in and settled -- good luck on the move!

Hi everyone, I'm a 19 year old, expat girl who doesn't post on here very often, but I'm being brave :) I reside in one of the towers and I've read this thread with interest and noticed lots of families moving in. I know that a lot of people have maids, but not everyone does. So I thought I'd introduce myself and let you all know that I'm available for babysitting if you need it. It's so much nicer now that people are moving in and the shops are opening up, it's feeling much more homely and less like a ghost town. Oh and the sushi place is great, expensive, but verrry yummy! I should stop drooling and get back to studying... EnPointe, would love to get to know more about baby-sitting! What's your email address??? My husband and I are definitely looking forward to some adult nights out on our own!

Donner is in the central section of the mall so if you walk from Spinneys, pass WHSmiths and then it'll be on your left. It's on the corner that leads to the central area.

Hi mushypeas - can you tell me where to find Donner Express (is that the name?). I also noticed this morning that there is a new kebab/curry place opening next to Ming Bowl (which will also hopefully open soon). The roads are all starting to take shape too, we have seen great progress just in the couple of weeks since we moved in - it's quite exciting! :)

quick update - emailed Tips and Toes and the work is now complete but they are just waiting for the final part to be finalised and should be opened after that ... she couldnt say .. maybe 1 or 2 weeks. I think the final part is approval from the ministry or something but im just guessing ! The Donner place is FANTASTIC ! its lovely and clean and the food takes a while but its fresh ! I had lunch there yesterday and its great. The pizza place - Slice thats pretty good too. 800 slice. Also the Muhiyana Grill have a daily dishes offer on at the moment 35 aed for a dish but its a set menu.

I heard it is goin to be a park. I don't think they are goin to build on it as tgey would be digging foundations not making it nice and flat !!! (hopefully). I agree cbindubai tge price of cooker is crazy. We got a 600 cooker and are goin to try get maybe a wine rack r something to fit down the side but intact it doesn't look too bad and makes cleaning real easy. But keep your eye on dubizzle we can only bought our when a 900 was put up on it. Someone also made a comment that the smaller easier to sell on .... I had the ac up with us and they said it because I don't have curtains so guess they might have a point but I have to say it's a little bit cooler since they where here. Just have to keep on their backs.

Pool in West Heights was being retiled and fact it is filled I think LB said it is being tested now - should be open soon then they will retile East Heights pool. out the back was originally supposed to be a park, not sure if that will happen now, but on one of the construction forums it mentions that the sand is being compacted currently. Towers won't be constructed there, maybe a mosque would be though as I think that was in the original plans.

I am in tower L and even though it is an older tower, no one else has lived in the apartment (some sort of problem with handover). AC man came today and said that 23 is the building temperature. Even though we can get the living room (which has the sun blaring in in the mornings) down to 20, but the bedroom (where the sun never shines directly) won't go below 23. It is very frustrating - so if you find any tricks out please let me know. We have had the filters cleared but other than that not sure what to do, and when we asked about District Cooling the guy had no idea. Bawn, have you bought a cooker for the apartment yet? If so, where did you get it from? Just can't bring myself to spend neary 5,000 AED on a cooker to get one that fits the space so really hoping to find a second hand one somewhere! We can see down on to the West Heights pool from our apartment and right now it is filled with jet black water - very strange! Never really seems to be anyone working there though so guess it will be a while before it is open again! Does anyone know what they are building in the area in front of Bay Avenue South (i.e. just along from Spinneys). They keep flattening the land, but I can't work out what it is going to be! I really hope it won't be a big tower or it'll completely kill my view (although I'm very prepared for the fact that it might be)!!

Bawn there is Lavender Laundry down on the Mezzanine level, Champion cleaners next to Spinneys and 4ways Laundry at the front. All will pick up and deliver back to you on hangers. :) Has anyone been to Valery salon yet? Has Hatam opened yet?
