I've noticed there are a lot of toddlers/babies/pregnant women around the Towers and I wondered if there is any Mums Group or such being held? I was thinking that maybe the studios at the gym could be a good place to hold a meet up. It might be nice to have somewhere to meet other Mums and swap stories/ tips. Maybe sometimes there could be a story time session and other times a toy sharing... What do people think?

We had Tangerine last night ( :\: - this is getting ridiculous) One must try all new outlets. :D Tangerine was good and they DID seem to listen to the strictly no seafood/fish sauce in curry request, which most Thai places do not! Cheesy fries were nice. What's next to try??? :-P

It was ice cream and coffee. We didn't try anything. But it looks really cute! I love the veg sandwich from Steak Escape in the US so I will be trying it here soon. How were the cheesy chips? Think we're having Rossovivo tonight but hubby's going to try Tangerine - we're walking down to Spinneys in a sec so we'll see how it smells when we go by!

If you can shut your eyes about the roads outside, it's fab here :) have you seen any apartments yet? When you view, be sure to check out the podium level with the pools/jogging places etc. it's sooo handy for everywhere. you can be anywhere in ten minutes.

If what you have heard is true, it might be Tower ? which is all owned by one LL - that may be worth checking out. Also, dewa in ET is just electricity/water, as a/c bills are Empower so not on your dewa bill. Your Empower standard quarterly charge may or may not be paid by LL, and your Empower consumption may or may not be paid by LL. All worth negotiating at the start! Ldvs, are you going to be a Business Bay Babe???? :-P Sorry, not Tower G. The one which just handed over recently. Which one is that?? edited by BettysHotpot on 11/10/2012

Has your barrier not come down yet? Ours has been down for awhile now - our parking spots were written on the remote's packaging when we collected them. Jin Ja is the new Asian place opening opposite Donner Express.

Couldn't even tell you where our designated parking spots are :\: though when the barriers come down I guess we will have to find out. Got the Tangerine menu! I have no idea where any of these new places are. Will need to do a bit of exploring. :D Where and what is Jin Ja???! And yaaaay for a chippy!!

Forgot to ask in my previous post... We recently installed one of the yellow parking barriers to stop people using our designated spot. We were rather disappointed to find after only a few uses that it was broken - and the company we bought it from were unable to repair it. My question is for others who have these parking barriers... were you warned not to knock them with your tyres or drive over them? Is this a common issue with them or have we just used a 'cheaper version'?? It seems odd to me that you wouldn't be able to knock these things with your tyres (when they're down of course)- they're very hard to see when you're driving in after all!!! Of course it would be easier if everyone would just park in their own designated spaces!!

We tried Tangerine last night (delivery) and were very impressed! We ordered mild rather than spicy and were glad we had - even though we don't mind spicy food!! I also noticed the other day that there's a fish and chip place opening next to Jin Ja. Papaye, thanks for the recommendation. Will try it out once I can get away from baby for long enough to get a haircut!

Steak Escape menu under the door when I woke up! I saw someone leaving Signature Studio with a bag yesterday when I did the school run ... ... and there are a bunch of tables and chairs and umbrellas outside Moti Mahal!

I tried a new salon at U BORA tower, named la Parisienne for a hair cut. The hairdresser is French, from Paris, hence the name. I was very happy with the result and the price ( 170 AED for hair cut/care/blow dry/ after 20% discount as I presented a voucher) www.laparisienne.me HTH Just wondering if anyone has had there hair cut locally - either at Millionaire Spa or Tips and Toes? If so what were they like? Or does anyone have any other recommendations? I'm not after anything fancy, just a trim for long hair with layers. Thanks

Chelle we are feeling quite warm too! Same tower. Our ac is normally awesome so calling up to see if anyone knows what is going on. They say it's a building wide problem. They think it will be fixed soon, take that with a grain of salt!!! ;)
