I called maintenance and they came and fixed the water pressure - they said it was a problem with the tank. It's really good again now. They didn't charge me either.

Just spoke to a very nice lady who is opening an Italian cafe next to Tangerine. She says they'll have fresh pastries and pastas... Should be open I about a week and a half. It's called Ci Gusta! No, it's ANOTHER Italian place!

Is anyone else concerned for these new restaurants that are all opening up? Now I have no idea how much work they get from deliveries, but I have never seen more than one table (and usually completely empty) at Muhyana Grill, Subway, Auntie Anne's, Ming Bowl...well pretty much all of them. I actually feel really sorry for the owners. I can only think that they are hopeful that the future will be bright for them being in an up and coming area.

There was a crapload of gorgeous looking white leather furniture being moved into Moti Mahal on Thursday (and painting going on late that night when I stumbled in!) so it has to be opening soon!!!

We spoke to the security guard over at the Marriott Hotel last night ( or as we like to call it, the Sparkly buildings). Apparently it's due to open early next month and the website says it will have 10 restaurants and 4 bars! http://www.marriott.com/hotels/hotel-information/travel/dxbjw-jw-marriott-marquis-dubai/

BH if you have the Executive Towers owner card thing then it has your car parking spots written on it. We're tenants but the owner gave us the card, which I think we needed for when we did the snagging and things when we first moved in.

There is a fish and chip shop opening inside so I doubt it is. It seems like quite a big restaurant and takes up a few windows. I may have to venture down for a walk this evening...I haven't seen half of these places that everyone is talking about!

What is the shop next to the main mall entrance (opposite side to London Dairy)? It has orange signage. I can't see well enough as I turn into the West Heights parking, but I'm sure it says something along the lines of "guess and win". Also, does anyone know whats going on with the parking? Many people have put up signs claiming their spots, but lets be honest it takes one person to be in the wrong spot and the whole system falls to pieces. Plus, does anybody else have their car parking spots in the most illogical place ever? Ours is right next to the entrance...great! Except that we use the entrance thats on the complete other side!!! Surely whoever allocated the spots wasn't thinking straight...
