The parking in Executive Towers is appalling. It is seriously the worst ever parking. When we got our lease, we were given two car park numbers, but not which floor. Despite contacting First Gulf Properties about it (and receiving their promise to do something), nothing has been done. We have received damage to our car from this system and no one cares enough to address it? Have you had the same experience? How did you overcome it?

Does anyone understand what is going on with the access? There seem to be signs up suggesting that it is changing but mine seems to be the same. I tried to ask a security guard but he didn't make a huge amount of sense - said something about master cards and normal cards. A master card lets you in anywhere, whereas a normal card will only let you in your own tower and the main reception (not even sure where that is). He couldn't clarify who gets 'normal' cards and who gets 'master cards'. International - I am also having big problems with my AC. I can't get my bedroom below 23/24 and it's driving me nuts - I will call the number and complain as I appreciate that the more people that do this the more likely it is to be resolved (although I won't hold my breath), but please let me know if you have any luck solving the problem. Very annoying for you that you had it working before! I wonder what they could have done to it during a service which would limit it? Finally, does anyone have any more news on the West Heights Pool - we've gone quite a bit past the original end of May deadline! I should say, to any newcomers or people considering moving here - while this post might not suggest it - I love it here! Yes there are a few glitches, which I'm sure is the case everywhere - but I don't think that you can beat the space and facilities that I have for the money that I pay!

Hi everyone, I'm a 19 year old, expat girl who doesn't post on here very often, but I'm being brave :) I reside in one of the towers and I've read this thread with interest and noticed lots of families moving in. I know that a lot of people have maids, but not everyone does. So I thought I'd introduce myself and let you all know that I'm available for babysitting if you need it. It's so much nicer now that people are moving in and the shops are opening up, it's feeling much more homely and less like a ghost town. Oh and the sushi place is great, expensive, but verrry yummy! I should stop drooling and get back to studying... EnPointe, would love to get to know more about baby-sitting! What's your email address??? My husband and I are definitely looking forward to some adult nights out on our own! Hi, sorry for the late reply; I've been away on holiday. My email is [email protected]. Looking forward to hearing from you! :)

Hi, I have just moved in to Tower J and really appreciate the advice and tips from everyone on here. I just wanted to say I had a massage(full body with oils) at Feet the other day and it was the best massage I've ever had!

None of the Thai dishes, no -- we've tried several of the Chinese, though -- they were okay, nothing outstanding -- but pretty good! My hubby loves Chinese (and anything super spicy) so everything he ordered was on FIRE (like, I practically burned my lips off!) but that's just how he ordered it and just how he likes it! My daughter loves anything with fried rice or noodles -- so she was pleased. The spring rolls were really good -- we will definitely order from there again, I'm sure.

love, love, LOVE Rossovivo! Definitely the best pizza I've had since we've been here -- and my entire family could eat pizza pretty much every day (although I love it the most!). Haven't tried Feet Lounge but love the smell of the aromatherapy oils when I walk by! I must try it soon.

I tried the pizza from Rossivivo the other night (it's in one of the SZR towers nearby). Delivery was SO fast, 19minutes I am not kidding you. I am no big fan of pizza but it was nice, thin crust, the Diavolo I really liked. The croquettes were tasty (if a bit naughty!) Has anyone triend the feet/massage place round the back yet? And has anyone found recycling close by?

The tandoori mushrooms from the Kebab Grill 44 (side of Ming Bowl/Kebab Grill) yum!!!!! I've ordered them about 12x since they've opened! I'm officially addicted.

Sidebar -- we tried Canteen tonight (simply because it's one of the only restaurants around here that we've yet to try). Not impressed! Don't think we'll be going back. But that's the only place we've found so far that's been less than fabulous!

hi Intl, We also don't have our a/c down below 22 deg, although we have friends in other towers who have 18. When I said this to Idama the chap said this was impossible as no towers go below 22. What to do? 22 is ok and long term we probably wouldn't want it below that anyway but it's not really cold enough to exercise in etc. Then again in Winter the towers are asbolutely freezing! What to do. edited by BiscuitMuncher on 01/08/2012 Hi, I agree, winter is freezing in Exec Towers! You need to raise the issue with Property Management (Taziz) on 043694111. Honestly speaking, when you tell them your ac has been set at 22 degrees, they think its impossible, but this is what is happening if anyone touches your ac for servicing. The more people raise the issue, the better as Empower bills only go higher by keeping the AC temp on 3bars (full speed). We as tenants are paying bills and have no control over temperature. Then they tell us the information we are giving is incorrect. It's pathetic. Don't bother with Idama or the link or you will go crazy

Hi All, Seen a couple of posts on here regarding the AC in Exec Towers. I have been living in Exec Towers B since May 2011 and previously we were able to control our temperature the way we wanted and if we put it down to 18 degrees, it would get there after a few hours. I had my AC serviced at the beginning of July 2012 and since then, I have had a nightmare. I have had 6 Idama guys come here to tell me there is nothing wrong with my AC and that 22 degrees is the normal temperature and that no matter whether I put it to 16 degrees, the minimum is fixed to 22 degrees. I have never heard of such a thing and have made a complaint to Taziz Management who advised that tenants control their our own AC temperatures - but looking at a couple of threads on this forum, others are facing the same problem. I am continuing to raise this as I suffer from heat rash (as I'm a ex Londoner), but have never heard of such a pathetic thing that tenants who are paying huge Empower bills are unable to control the temperature themselves. Empower have also confirmed this should not be the case. This is beyond ridiculous and if you are facing the same problem, you need to speak to Taziz Property Management on 043694111. It's like going to a hotel and spending the night in a paid room but the hotel fixing the temperature for you. Annoyed..!!

Hello ladies :) Just wondering if anyone has seen the recycling depot? It's gone from near the sales centre but maybe they have put it somewhere else? Has anyone tried Ming Bowl or the other place yet? I really want to try Rossivivo which is not in ET but just over the way, but I think it might be dangerous!

I went to Valery salon for my nails today. It was Without doubt the worst manicure I have ever received. I asked the technician to trim my nails but she spent an hour clipping and cutting so that now my nails have been cut to the skin. The skin underneath is exposed and red. All the cuticles have been over cut and most of them are bleeding. I don't know how people have the audacity of get untrained technicians. Avoid the place. My mom went about three weeks ago and absolutely loved the place. It was the longest manicure/pedicure that she has ever had as they were so thorough and they did a fantastic job. They also agreed to postpone painting her nails until the next day as she had a wedding and told her to go down at any time to get it done. Finally she managed to completely ruin one of the nails so she went down to get that one nail fixed and they redid them all for her. She couldn't praise them enough.

Ah thank you so much for emailing and posting. Looks fantastic! I was very disappointed with the thought that it could be just a car park, those plans look lovely.
