@ goose: No quackery here ... go and do your research. And, btw, why do you think that authorities in many places now REMOVE the fluoride again from their drinking water systems?

Fluoride is a waste product of aluminum and has been proven to be harmful. Both in water and toothpaste I insist on fluoride-free products. May I ask, u ever had chemistry class? Pseudoscience and qucaks.

You can buy fluoride tablets for smaller children. The dentist advised us to get them for our 3 year old daughter. Powdered milk has a fair amount of sugar in it, so he reckons. My daughter still wants milk to get off to sleep with and this has caused her teeth a few problems. I don't give her the tablets every day, just twice a week. The last thing I want is to have to get her teeth removed under general anaesthetic. And no, she doesn't eat sweets or sugary stuff. I suppose at least if it isn't in the water then you can choose whether to add/administer it...

My eldest daughter has White marks on her teeth due to, to much floride. They will never go away the dentist said but not a bad thing for the teeth.

There's nothing! Was advised that the tap water is "dead" as it is desalinated so it has nothing in. For kids it's best to use nestle water (advise from GP) as it has the lowest sodium content and it contains fluoride Nestle water does not have a low sodium content. It is also debatable whether fluoride is a good thing. In Australia they have suddenly stopped adding it (without explanation). Google it and you will see there is a lot of literature on the harmful effects of flouride. I use ARWA for my LO's. It actually does have low sodim but still contains fluoride.
