DH's friend will be in Dubai for a couple of nights. So we would like to take him out for dinner. Its his first time in Dubai, could you ladies please suggest somewhere nice and lively for dinner and drinks. Have not been out in ages :( Have a little baby, so a bit out of touch.

Depending on where you are located in Dubai I would recommend the Madinat if it is his first time in Dubai. Such a lovely setting and a great choice of restaurants and bars.

There's a similar thread running at the moment - Where can DH take me for dinner'' - so you could have a look at that for some ideas. Also Flavours on 2 at Tower Rotana on Sh.Z Road (which is also in the entertainer Fine Dining book) is usually lively and is all inclusive. Friday night is Italian. Maybe go to Bahri Bar in the Madinat first and then on to one of the restaurants in there. However, I wouldn't recommend The Wharf. Rosso (Amwaj Rotana) and Trader Vic's (Madinat) are lively and both have live music. <em>edited by amelia on 27/07/2011</em>
