So ask him to show employees the same respect by paying them on time. Also, let him know that you have comittments with the bank etc and that if the pay goes in late, you are getting charged

I submit the WPS payments by 10am on day and it is paid either that day or the day after and that is with Barclays. If you are not getting the amount as per your contract with the MOL then complain. That is the point o WPS - to track what you are getting and ensure you are getting what you are meant to and when

Hi KChristine, I process the WPS for my staff. There were teething issues for the first 1 -2 months as I got the format of the document wrong-ish but now it is fine and the process takes 2 days to maximum 3 from the moment I submit to the bank and this is regardless of whether the bank acct of staff are the same or different to the business'. Hello.Again.Kitty is right, MOL take it very serious. Any company not complying with WPS can get a black mark from MOL and this will prevent visas etc being processed for the company for several months for each offence. MOL check monthly who is paying who and what percentage of employees are being paid- it should be over 60% of total number of staff recieving through WPS as I have been informed. Good luck

thing is this guy knows ppl from everywher and may fire me if i do so. do u know how long the WPS system takes. It depends on your bank - it usual takes one day max. If you are with the british 4 letter bank it can take a day longer.... I can deal with two days. but waiting till the middle of the month is absolutely a joke isn't it.

Complain to the Ministry of Labour. They take it very seriously. I would, however (in light of how seriously the Ministry take it) tell your employer that because this ongoing issue is unacceptable, you are thinking of putting in a formal complaint - that way, he might buck his ideas up. yeah that is a gud idea.

has anyone else had problems. every month my employer comes up with some excuse that the WPS system isnt working and i end up getting paid in bits and bobs throughout the month. this is really frustrating for me. have no idea what to do :( does anyone have any idea how long it takes for your salary to get transferred through the WPS system. According to him it takes anywer between 1-2 weeks.
