Just thought I'd mention my contact for health insurance. He's a highly experienced broker, Brit, explains all options extremely well. Mike Hitchcock 050 738 1294. [email protected] I would highly recommend him.

I, too, was exchanging emails with a rep from Pacific Prime a year or so back, and he was extremely helpful. The plans ran between 5000-8000 AED annually for my husband and I, and we did not want the claim back option so these were direct billing. They are brokers, so they offered plans from BUPA, NOW, and a couple of other carriers I can't remember. I ended up getting health insurance through my job as did DH so we did not end up getting one of those plans. They were quite helpful, but I have also heard great things about Oman Insurance, who I believe is also a broker, not sure.

I have been exchanging emails with a guy called Lenvin from Pacific Prime. They are brokers so give you different options. I think the most affordable plan for 4 of us was 24k. [email protected]. Maybe he can help.

I've been with William Russell for 13 years & have been very happy with them. They have a full range of coverage for both expat individuals & families. Whilst they're pay & claim they settle claims very quickly especially as Dubai Insurance represents them here for contact purposes, claim form processing etc. I'm not sure how they compare on price, however I'm a firm believer in quality, the overall benefits & in particular speed of service when it comes to claims. I've recently had a couple of operations during the same hospitalization which as an in-patient would have been covered under direct billing. However, as I knew in advance my bill would total approx 166,000 dhs we paid on our credit card so we could benefit from skywards miles & they've already processed the claim within a month.

Government issued health card is no value to us. We have private insurance to cover medical needs. There are a plenty. Range would be 4k - 6k per person.

Hi, I want to buy a health insurance plan for me and my son. My husband already got one from his office but the entire family is not covered so please suggest good health insurance plan that are affordable. Also it would be great if price is also mentioned. I heard of a national health card issued by the government. Is it worthwhile?
