Morning all!

I need some advice please on learning French. I am a complete beginner and haven't used my French since i was at school some years ago. I know there is no easy way to do this but i'm looking for the quickest way. I work full time so evenings would be best for me. Would it be best in a classroom environment with others? or perhaps a private tutor would be best? I'm not too fussed about the cost as it's important i get to grips with this fairly quickly.

Does anyone have any good experience with French teachers? or classes?

any advice would be appreciated!

thanks alot!
J

Take private lessons to start - this will help you advance much faster. Then take group lessons for conversation skills. Watch French movies, read French books (start with children's books if you need to). Some of the schools offer French (I know WIS does...). Or marry a French man and live with his mother for 2 years in France and you'll be right! That's what I did!!!!

I'd also advise AF. They offer classes at MOE as well now. You could dowload some French music and listen to it just to get used to the sounds and also watch Dvds in French. Ideally you need to spend some time in France too to really get up to speed. :-)

I would recommend AF more than Eton. A bit too far though if you live in Marina!

I believe Eton College is the best place for language classes in Dubai. Know a few people who have done the Arabic classes
