Thanks again everyone! I have been out all day and no luck :( I was looking to go for 7 or 7.5 because I have a small apartment oven..I was worried anything over that would be too big to fit inside. Unfortunately, everywhere I checked throughout the Marina, Jumeirah, and Dubai Mall area did not work. I saw a few that were 9 kilos but I was so worried they would not fit. edited by RubyRed on 20/11/2011

I think the BEST turkeys here come from the Sharjah Animal Souk. That is where we are getting our turkey for Thanksgiving this year (again). They prepare them ready for brining/cooking too. I just like the fact that they are super fresh...and haven't traveled around the globe to sit in a freezer here! ;)

Just letting you know I picked one up this am from Carrefore at MOE. They had about 4 more left (at that time), and none would have been that big. Mine was about 5 lbs., and the biggest was probably 6 lbs. You might ask whereever you go if they have bigger ones in back. Mine was 80 Dhs. as it was (a Butterball).

Spinney's or Choithrams should have them at that size. Probably the large supermarkets as well.

For eight or nine people..has anyone seen any that are more than 5 kilos? Ideally I would like 7 or 7.5..I have checked a few places and they are rather small for that many people.
