guiness what is the deal when you order books from Amazon? You just pay shipping - sometimes it's DHL - which can be quite expensive, and other times it's iparcel (or something) and it's not that bad.

West elm is modern with a traditional touch...CB2 very modern...... they are priced decently and are good quality...but yes shipping? yikes Hi SLM, how are you settling in now? The shipping bit looks the same at CandB - which ships from the MidEast, so maybe it's somewhat the same?

It's CB2 and West Elm ... two stores that are also owned by William Sonoma (who owns Crate and Barrel). And the best part is ... they ship to the UAE!!! Reading the NY Times this weekend and learned about them ... it's times like these that I miss being back in the US - I feel so out of touch here!
