Hi,

I'm moving to Dubai at the end of April with my husband who has a job out there, it's not right at the top of my to do list at the moment but something i'm interested in and I was wondering if anyone knew of a good Iyengar yoga class/teacher. It's something I used to do a lot of in Newcastle, UK where we're from and I'd be interested in getting back into it.

This is my 'introduce yourself' thread too, so hello, it's nice to meet you all. Dubai will be new to me for a while so it's nice having forums like this to ask questions/say hello etc!

I go to an amazing class in Umm Suqeim 1 with an Iyengar practitioner who has the props, etc and goes back to Pune annually to retrain with Guru Ji.. Her name is Alpana. That's great, thank you! Not sure where we'll be living yet but i'll be sure to look her up once we get there.

Hi, if you go to the BKS Iyengar website and search for teachers in the UAE you will find a list of the teachers here and their contact details. I've been to classes of 3 of the teachers on the list, who are all very good. Hi, that's great thanks, I found names and numbers but wasn't sure who was good or wasn't so good! If you've been to classes of three teachers who are all good then that sounds positive, i'll give them a try!
